I hope for you they can sort it out quickly.

Did you buy your car in Antwerp? Why didn't you buy it at Meerschman in Aalst? Bad experience?

Yes, ordered at Jorssen Zuid and can only recommend it, they are awesome. Great service, great sales people. Happy to refer anyone to my sales rep, he goes the extra mile with the extra smile!

Can't say anything about Meerschman, never bought a car there so wouldn't be fair to compare

They told me this was a different issue - it was not impacted in the previous (August) one, it was produced just after that slot. But maybe it's a follow-up issue or... sure they will not disclose everything

I bought mine at Meerschman Aalst. Before that in Lochristi and before that at Romein Aalst.

Quite happy too although things seem to be to easy for them.

The last months I see a 45e on every corner of the street in Aalst. Looks like every independent worker ordered one. I think they don't really have to do an effort to sell them.

Depends ons the sales guy there... Delivery was also a farce.
Don't know if my next BMW will come from there. Certainly not from that sales rep.

As feared/expected, I just got the phone call from my dealer. No delivery tomorrow, no ETA when BMW will have a solution. It's battery related apparently, but no further details.

I got my X5 45E deliverd last friday but I can see on the site https://www.bmw.co.uk/en/footer/quic...e-recalls.html that my vehicle has the STOP013222 enhancement code.

But dealer did not tell me anything about it or call me.
Should I pro active call them to ask whats up or just wait until they contact me ?

I called my dealer. They are still compiling lists of affected cars. Many cars are involved not only X5. My car is, for the moment?, not involved.

It are mostly new cars that have a delivery stop or recently delivered cars.
Older cars are not so much involved.

But they still don't have a solution. This can take weeks.

My dealer said this affects eight cars they already have or are receiving soon (various models including 530e, X5 and X3 hybrids). Reason/fix unknown..

I took delivery of mine 3 weeks ago. The dealer was aware of ongoing recalls, but mine was not in the list.
Last Saturday the car was at a BMW airport parking and they informed me that it was also in a newer recall list (battery related): no charging, no sports mode etc. no immediate solution.
Upon my return on Monday they gave me an X5 diesel with plenty of optional (to try and keep me comfortable and in line with the features in my car). This morning they called me and said I can pick up the car and use it normally, until they have a way forward and rectify the problem for good.
Happy to get it back (as I absolutely loved the 3 weeks with it), but slightly astonished by the fact that at first it was a no go and now I can fully use it again - hopefully safely...

Did they go in detail about the current problem?

I think you should contact your dealer today to know what is happening.

New deliveries are being stopped and the new owners looked at the UK website and they got the stop message for the affected cars.

Could yours have slipped through?

The usual:

Impurities in high voltage battery - same stop code as the others I read here. Apparently they stopped deliveries but if the car was already on the road and they could look at the charging history, they are comfortable that I’m not going to end up in ashes. I’ll make sure to understand more when I pick it up tomorrow and I’ll keep you posted (unless the car burns on my way back, that is)

Is there anyone out there who has taken delivery of his 45e since last week? Reading this thread, it seems like almost everyone with delivery scheduled this week is affected.

The dealer just call me (was going to call them tomorrow).
Unfortunately I am also affected and I can only use the "ICE mode".
So no hybrid/electric/Sport mode and have to put it on battery control (30%)

Little bit nervous now pulling the trigger on my 45e. Seems like most of you guys are effected in EU. Not seeing anybody from US (yet) complaining. Mine would be either way October, November build.

sounds serious and hopefully not a battery swap required.
