New X6M order

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Hi guys….
Pulled the trigger on a new X6M about 3 weeks ago. Decided to go with an individual color just for a change… I know this will delay my build 1-2 months but when I called BMW Genius and spoke to a live person they keep telling my that my production number is slated to be build on week 35 which is next week. Is that a mistake ? Any one has experience ordering individual color and how long did it take to start production from ordering date?
Thanks in advance.

If you don't mind, could you share any discount or incentives you may have received? Did you go cash, finance, or lease?

No discounts or incentives.
Sales guys said I have to wait when vehicle arrive.
We'll see.
Let's hope it gets into production on week 35 as Genius guy said.
Thanks

The trend with no discounts on M's will continue as mercedes won't be making any V8's for 2022.

If you have a used car to sell or trade, it's value will be pretty high relative to normal conditions. I don't think there will be much of a discount. Plus, I've heard that supply is very limited.

Pretty sucky time to buy/lease a new car. I got a big $1,500 off MSRP plus loyalty on my 2022 X6MC only because I’m a 20 year customer. Plus residual on lease plummeted from 58% to 51%.

Indeed a sucky time. I ordered in January and got 10% off. I remember last October/November-ish you could get 13% off.

Those 4.0TT engines were so unreliable. Im not even sure it was a supply chain or just pulling it off market for reasons.

Go to benzworld or any MB forum and see how much they complain about that engine in the newest cars.

Those forums are all just complaints while our forums are more social.

Ouch! Mine residual was higher 6 months ago. I always lease and with all the other changes out there, I had stuck with BMW for several reasons....this is my 3rd X5M...but one of the PRIMARY reasons was the leasing (usually at least 55% to 58% residuals before)...they always leased easier than a Porsche, Range Rover, Audi and Mercedes. I hope these dips in residuals are temporary. 30 months left and I'm already worried about what to lease next and if BMW will be as easy a financial decision as before. Thanks for sharing the news.

Pretty sure they are only keeping the V8 in the S Class for the US in 2022 models. Even the G Class is out.

I think I also saw that the S will be the only Merc with the V8 for MY22. Those G Wagons are going to get "market adjustments" past 300K at this point.

As for BMW, this is truly the worst time to buy/lease in recent memory. My lease if up in May, and I'm really hoping we're out of the woods with shortages by that point.

Over on Leasehackr, I'm seeing some brokers offering up X5/6M for around $15-1700 p/month on builds around 120-124K, which is probably about $200-ish off where I think I'd expect them to be. That's not the worst thing in the world I suppose.

In that price range, I'd probably look at an M8 though.

$1700/month for a x6m in Cali is a total steal rn. Shit is cray atm.

Not sure if you know this or not...but in years past, BMW Financial has allowed you to extend your lease for a short amount of time when going through this time of year/model transition. The policy may have changed due to today's issues...but in the past you were able to call and extend your lease 90 days if you needed to.

My SA was telling me about this at my last oil change. As much as I love my X5, especially as I was lucky enough to get the I-6 with a lot of the options now missing from the model, I'm ready to step up to something with more performance.

At most, I'd probably extend a couple of months and then just bite the bullet regardless of the market.

Currently debating between an M8 Comp Convertible and an X6M Comp. Got some time to figure out which wildly different direction to go!

However, if the residuals and overall market continue to worsen, might try out the RSQ8 or even go the way of a 911 C2S. So many choices!

Wow that’s a big push back in the schedule. Any feedback given as to why? What color did you pick?
