Week 4 (2024 X5 Xdrive 50e)

Anyone else have a week 4 production? Just got an email tonight (Germany time) that my 50e will enter production around that time. I traded in my 2023 M3 Comp Xdrive with less than 10k miles for this, originally I was ordering an X5M. Funny thing is I was about to Spec’ed the X5M when I saw the hybrid rolled out the dealership that caught my attention. It has the 2” hitch receiver. I’m in Germany and they didn’t offer US Spec’ed hybrids until this year. To make it short I ordered a 50e and my wife wasn’t too happy after I was hyping her up 😂. Ordering was easy because I already had preapproval loan for the X5M and I didn’t have to put as much down payment 😂. Anyway here’s the spec.

Brilliant White
Coffe Extended Merino Leather
Driving Assistance Pro. Package
21” M Light Alloy/915M
M Sport Pro. Package
M Sport Red Brake Calipers
Parking Assistance Package
Executive Package
Climate Control Package
Multi-Contour Seats
Fine line Stripe Brown High Gloss Trim
Front Massaging Seats
Anthracite Alcantara Headliner

Congrats on the order. Did you miss putting down the hitch option or did you not order it? I don't think it is standard.

I didn’t order the hitch. I’ll use my truck for hauling stuff around.

You ordered the Brilliant White Metallic paint? If so, that is an Individual Color and may be the reason why the extended build week.

I was really aiming for it to show up around March/April, it still has to go to Germany and Spring would be a perfect time. I was told couple people got theirs about 7 weeks after it left the line to get to Germany (both F/G chassis). I forgot to add I ordered it on the second week of October and got an allocation on November 2/3.

Ah, that makes sense. Was going to say you got lucky with your allocation, but you're roughly at 3 months, which is what mine was at for Individual Java Green. Ordered mid March 2022 received allocation following week, and was built last week of June.

Hopefully that boat ride doesn't add too much to your pick up. Spring time would be a good time to receive it. It's close to when you can take off the winter tires and put the summers on. I was stationed at Spangdahlem, AFB from 05/2004 thru 10/2010. I miss the autobahn so much!! LOL

I got the VIN today 😁 and the build date is 22 Jan. Got M Perf spoiler waiting. Little scuffed up but I’ll get it fixed.

Well, this adds some confusion to things. . .

You have a 2024 week 4 build on a X5 50e. . .

Group of us here in the US have 2024 week 10 at the soonest, with orders placed at the tail end of November and beginning of December.

To add to that, you have selected an "individual color."

Now I am confused. . .

Do you have a sooner week because you are Germany? Because it is an individual color?

Congrats! A little jealous over here!

Actually that fits in with what we have been seeing once we got more data on the situation with the 50e. It appears almost all US Priority 1 (customer) orders have been pushed back to Feb/Mar. Priority 3 (dealer stock) orders are still being built as well as Individual paint and replacement vehicles for those damaged in Idalia. It is a weird situation as usually Priority 1 goes first but doesn't seem to be on this situation. It could be so those can be moved back without effecting a customer.

I’m not sure how but when I placed an order for my G80, within couple weeks I had an allocation. Placed an order on mid Oct and then couple weeks later I had a slot. About the same for the 50e. I know a guy who placed an order before me for his German Spec’ed G80 took him over a year to get his car from the same dealership.

I just called my dealership in Belgium and they confirmed as well that my December production slot for my X5 50e is pushed to week 10 (March). They could not tell me the reason for this. Also Carbon black color so no individual color.

I ordered my car early September

Well, here’s my wife’s ride. It was shipped out of the factory 30 Jan then made it to (the port) Germany last week around Monday/Tuesday. Got to the dealership last night and just saw it today.

I wasn’t even paying attention, I just wanted make sure they were 21”. I won’t see the car for another month, the bumper was scratched during transport and they have to replace the whole bumper.
