It could be true, we just have not heard of any yet. May production is pretty filled with orders that rolled over to MY25 but they could have added more.

Hi All. I received a slot for my ‘25 X5 M60i (Brooklyn Grey/Silverstone) on 3/26 and scheduled for Week 18 build (4/29). Has anyone received a production alert earlier than expected build date? If so, how much earlier?

Welcome to the forum. It is always possible it will be moved up. I think this week we have seen quite a few moved up a day or more.

I was scheduled for week 16 (4/15) and my X5 M60i just got assembled today 4/9. So mine was built a full week head of schedule which is awesome but a few other folks week 16 are still on track for next week like normal & not early. A few people week 14 I believe were also days ahead of schedule so it all depends! I would check your exact build date to find out and it might get moved up if you’re lucky

Update: My X5 M60i was assembled today. As of yesterday, it was “scheduled for production.” However, earlier this morning, the status was “Entering assembly line.” As of this evening, it is “awaiting carrier assignment.” For context, I was given a Week 18 slot, so I guess it’s on par with what to expect. I hope this helps someone.

Note: My dealership wasn’t all that helpful with providing updates, but the BMW Genius helped a lot.

Yep! Same order number. When I made the swap to a 2025, they changed the original order to a more basic X5 with different colors and whatnot. When the 2025 stuff was announced, they called me and told me about the updates. When I check MyGarage, I see my ordered specs (although the picture of the X5 isn’t the m-sport that I have on order).

Any Updates on this? I gave a 5k down payment last week, and was told about 10d ago I received an allocation. About how long between allocation and production number? (sorry if this has been asked 1M times..)

As soon as the order is put into the system the production number is there. Give your CA a call and if they can't give you the production number right away you have no order and can start shopping around if you can't wait another month or so.

Just put in my order for an X5 M60 slotted for week 23. Handily the dealer had allocations ready to go.

It won't be as bad as it was for my m8. At least I hope. It got stuck on a 78 day mystery hold that no one at bmw, and I talked to everyone that I could force to listen to me, had a clue where it was or what the delay was.

Indeed. At least I won't have the possible port and customs delays. They just need to drive the thing across the street to the performance center, where that experience has also been significantly degraded from what it once was. I suppose they could get stuck at a red light on the way there

Have you checked your production date recently? If you are already in 150 you may have moved up.

I don't know why they can't set up some kind of dot notification thing. Like you get an email when you moved to each dot. That would likely decrease their server burden and free up more of my days. Seems like it wouldn't be hard to do.

It it not done for every step but BMWNA now sends out emails as the order progresses.

Just spoke with genius this evening who gave me the build week. He did say to check in weekly as things can change.

I think when the order is accepted, when it goes into production begins and then when it is finished, at least that is what I think I saw people post.
