HUD Moving
Has anyone had an issue with the heads up display changing position? I keep mine on the highest setting and every once in a while it resets to the middle setting. Haven’t been able to figure out what causes it. I always use the same key and same profile.

if not, ensure your driver profile is synced to your vehicle |

I thought I was crazy! I've noticed this happening to me as well. I'm the only driver of my car. Must be a software thing.

if you’re the only driver and it’s your only bimmer, then I would ensure your driver profile is synced with your fob. if not, you risk not saving your driver settings in your profile

I wanted to put this to the test. I raised my HUD in my 2024 X7 all the way up to the same setting as the X5M. I will report back. Others that are having the same issue, do you have more than one Bimmer? |

the issue of the ‘moving’ HUD position in his case was because he has two bimmers with HUD that synced his driver profile. because HUD position is saved to his profile which is stored in his MyBMW account AND his driver profile was set to sync with his account, one HUD position was shared between the two vehicles. the solution in his case was to un-sync his driver profile so the HUD position in one vehicle stayed separate from the other. sharing settings between supported bimmers can be convenient, such as radio presets, ambient light, Home Screen widgets, etc, but the HUD position doesn’t make sense because the seating and cabin can be very different from each other especially if different models. I noticed the HUD position issue between my X5 and wife’s 530e, but I was able to keep my driver profile synced while still finding one HUD position for both vehicles, but if I adjusted it again in one car, it’ll adjust it automatically in the other car (because of being synced). this isn’t an issue if you just own one bimmer with HUD. in that case, a ‘moving’ HUD position is simply addressed by saving the desired position to the seat memory as mentioned |
