It is nothing like the difference between the B58 and S58. They are literally the same engine. https://www.bullstuff.com/piston-complete-pn-0P2107066C You can peruse this, but same rods, same pistons, same block. It is nothing like the difference between the B58 and S58. I couldn't tell if they had different geometry borg warner turbos, and I don't have time to do a deep dive of a parts catalog to prove someone wrong on the internet™

Not to go off track here.
Whats the longevity of a Cayenne compared to a X5? I've heard conflicted opinions regarding both these SUVs with high mileage. |

So cayenne turbo is very nice but not 200k nice imo. The x5mc is the sweet spot as far as luxury high performance SUV's go for me. I mean it's faster and what not but is it really worth that extra 60-70k? Not to me. It has the Porsche tax on it like all their cars do. Yes all very nice but all much more expensive than they need or should be.

If Porsche had put the X5MC Body , Interior and BMW Idrive onto the GT (Dreaming here), I would have bought the GT in a heartbeat. It has some neat features OEM like Ti Akra exhaust, Superlight Forged wheels (much lighter than my oem forged 818's), and it does have the Ring record now. But, (and I am a Porsche snob...lol..) I would not trade even for one because a RaceChip on the X makes more power and the X Interior/Exterior/Electronics rule. The GT needs a completely new platform to move past the X. A bit more power and handling does not cut it.

Porsche nickels and dimes you to death. I believe they still have the gall to charge extra for Sirius XM and then they only include a 90 free trial subscription. Oh boy!!! What a bunch of crooks.

I opt for a Cayenne GTS Coupe over a similarly priced X5M Comp. X5M is a great SAV just wasn’t my favorite.
The X5M is faster than my GTS in a straight line, 3.9 for gts is def not slow though. Exhaust sound is fantastic, driving, handling feel, steering feel I felt were superior in the GTS. It feels more buttoned down, is 450 lbs lighter and feels more nimble. The massive wheel gap on the X5M I didn’t like either. The air suspension on the gts is magical I would choose a turbo GT over a X5M 10 out of 10 times. I don’t really see them as competitors either I’ve owned far more BMW’s than any other brand, many m cars most recent f90 M5 a few years ago. Love the brand.

Is a X5M worth double a X5 4.0? Same rational.

That isn't even close to the same rationale. Not even close. The performance in the regular x5 vs the M version is light years apart. The performance difference between the X5MC vs the GT is very close. There is simply no way the GT deserves to command 70k more vs the X5MC. The only way and I mean only way someone justifies the extra expense is if your a die hard Porsche cool aid drinker and I mean die hard to put it lightly. lol Simply no comparison dude sorry. You want to say it's worth 10-20k more maybe you have a shot but at 60-70 hell no. Not even close.

You driven a recent model year Porsche 911 or higher model cayenne or cayman? They drive much differently than BMW’s they just do. So in your eyes a Urus and X5M are also same? I’ve owned 4x the number of bmw as Porsche. 10+ M cars,

We're not even on rennlist and the Porsche nutswingers are out in full force. Buy what you like. I had a choice of whatever I wanted and I got another "inferior" X5M. This may change with the refresh, who knows. I did intentionally buy a pre-LCI X5M because of the S68 and iDrive 8.
