GOOD NEWS! I just added the Drive Recorder to my 2019 G05 in the US. It was at the bottom with digital key, so BRAVO BMW!!!

Just purchased it and works great!!!! Why couldn't they have included this in the vehicle from the beginning. It's only software!!! BMW trying to wring out every buck they can!

Good news, but while listed on mine as well for the first time it says not available for my vehicle. I have DA pro package so could it be the software I'm on?

Which version are you running? I am on 3/2020.30 (I believe .30), and it seemed to come right up. I doubt this did anything, but I always run through the "Update Apps and Services" steps whenever I get in the vehicle. I have had issues with the vehicle constantly asking for my password whenever I start it up. I followed suggestions on here, but it is still a problem...so I am not sure if there's some sort of issue with the mothership talking to some of the vehicles?

You definitely don't need 03/2020.xx for DR to work on MY2019 cars, but you might need at least 11/2019.xx. Spotify in US/Canada was predicated on 11/2019.xx as well, IIRC.

Anyone with MY2019 and less than 11/2019.xx ISTEP have DR working?

I will attach some files so that those who master these details can clarify my options.

My firmware is 7/2019.55, which dealer did not update recently even with long list of complaints. The dealer previously said DR would need a hardware 'retrofit' not firmware upgrade, but it is unclear to me if they really know such things.

Under apps, CD says DR not available for my G05. I am attaching a screenshot and the original sticker in my car in case someone knows what is going on since I have all the cameras that are needed for DR.

Your sticker image is not loading but before the M Sport Package I have Drivers Assistance Pro Pkg as well. We are on the same 7/2019.55 release and I'm hoping this is the issue, per my previous post, as I don't recall any other options related to DR when I optioned the car.

You must have ordered earlier (?). Mine was placed mid April '19 (May delivery) but the option costs the same as yours. I remember discussion on DA+ earlier.

Not super motivated to have DR as I have dual BlackVue with parking mode, *but* it's nice to have additional coverage in case of accident on the sides.

I'm hoping somebody can confirm the real hw and sw requirements🤞
