03/2022 and CarPlay Volume
My app finally did an update and it was for 7/2021 I think. It completely downloaded and was just waiting for me to do the actual update. I was going to do it, but just been busy.
Fast forward to today and I took my car in for service. I mentioned to them that the car is ready for a software update and they said they would take care of it. I pick it up to discover they installed 03/2022. One thing I noticed immediately is that my CarPlay volume seems lower. The bass isn’t as pronounced and the overall level seems softer. Anyone else notice this? I checked my phone volume and it was maxed. Is there another input level volume adjustment? Last edited by Frenetic; 04-12-2022 at 03:21 PM.. |

when connected via CarPlay, iPhone volume is maxed out and can't be adjusted locally on the iPhone.
did you check Sound settings in iDrive? many settings reset to default after a software update. |

All of the sound and EQ settings are the same.
Is 3/2022 only installed at the dealership right now? I’m wondering if not enough people have it yet to notice a difference. It’s very noticeable to me. |
