Is this true for preconditiong and automation ? Like if temp is below some condition it turns on wheel and seat(s) ?

Yes, I was referring to the Climate Rules but assume coding would work for preconditioning.

It could be that someone needs to be in the passenger seat for it to kick on with the climate rules. Never tested that but someone mentioned that in the past. I'm talking about remote starting the vehicle/pre-conditioning when of course no one is in the vehicle.

Plus if they are using a 100 mile distance how could they drive 90% of it in EV mode with a 45e? If I do the math assuming 30 miles in EV and 70 miles with gas, I get a combined figure of about 25 mpg. These numbers are so convoluted as to be meaningless other than maybe comparing across cars of the same type of powertrain. Even then who knows. For example, I know the Q5 plugin defaults to EV mode on startup whereas the X5 defaults to its hybrid mode... wondering if differences like that could artificially skew these combined figures. Better to just look at the efficiency figures for EV and ICE separately then draw your own conclusions based on how you drive. They do have a "plugin hybrid calculator" to help with that. OK so its been few weeks (almost a month) and I have 500 on the car. 430 of those are electric. The charging was 195kW at .24 cents so about 47$ so .10 cents per mile or so ?
I can not gauge the ICE/hybrid usage, as I havent put any gas in from the dealer, its still like 89% full. but so far what do you guys think ? |

However, after driving a couple hours, it’s back to normal range. After filling up, we did see the best total range/miles to empty in a long time though at 448 moles |
