I have recently just changed my fronts for Pirelli All Season 275/40/22 - Rears are the stock 315/30/22 however when driving it feels like there is hesistation of rotation. Like the car has bleeps of tyre skipping.
Has anyone experienced something like this?

I have 21 inch wheels 741m
Came with 275/40/21 and 315/35/21 What do you guys think of going with 275/45/21 and 315/40/21 This is purely because there are a lot of All Season tires available in that. Any opinions and suggestions? Thank you |

I have been happy with the setup. It is definitely a smoother ride than the factory setup. There is a slight loss in handling capability due to the higher sidewall so I would stick with a performance tire.
An all season tire would probably sacrifice too much for the power the X5M has. |

Does anyone know if 275/45 R20 work without problems with the 2024 x5 mc ? I can't seem to get a straight answer.
Is there a range of size combos that work with this SUV ? So the dealer option is either staggered or square 295/35R21 107V XL (Front) 295/35R21 107V XL (Rear) or 21/22 staggered 295/35R21 front; 315/30R22 rear. What if you go smaller to the 275/45 R20 ? |

Ok it affects performance but this is really for snow season when I don't need performance. Would it actually damage something or cause increased wear to something?

Hi All. I’m looking at a set of vossen wheels and they are sized 12x23 et30 335/30/23 and 10x22 et8 295/35/22.
Just had a look and when I need to replace the 23” rear tyre I can only seem to find 335/35/23 tyres? Any issues with either of the above-Whats on it now and the new tyre size? I take it the wider rear tyre is no issue either? |

Your original sizes, 295/35r22 and 335/30r23 are 2.7% different in rolling diameter. The conventional wisdom on this forum is a difference of more than 1% is bad for the transfer case / center diff. If you keep the front and upsize the rear to 335/35r23, that will be a 7% difference - over 2". I think either option is going to quickly wear the transfer case, particularly the larger option. I wouldn't do it.
If you really want 22/23" staggered, I would consider 295/35r22 (10.5x22) with 315/30r23 (11.5x23). Those are close enough to each other to work. Separate question: Are those front vossens really et8? That's going to be a really aggressive fit. |

Thanks for the reply, really appreciate it.
Seems like these particular wheels are not an option then. My choice would be to stay sized at 21” and 22” anyways but this set come up as a good offer. Just been looking at the options on 23” tyres and the options really are limited. |
