Black car is a MY20 and blue is a MY21.

Even though MY21 has digital key and says it can remote start, it can't. Anyone else run into this issue?

Mine says climatize now but that's an android thing. But yes you should have it.

After you set it up, you can just press the close button on your key three times and the engine will start - this way you don't have to mess with the phone.

^^ This is much easier to do and I use the 3 clicks to remote start my car every day. The app just takes too long sometimes and it doesn't always work.

I use a combo of both. If I'm sitting at my sons baseball practice I'll use the app because I'm too far from the car and you can schedule it. If I'm walking towards the car in a parking lot or checking out at the grocery I tend to use the FOB. Just wish the FOB would let you know the car started.

I use to think the app took to long to start the car but really from my test the car starts relatively quickly it's just the app that takes forever to update the car's current state.

Have you ever tested your range of the fob? I tend to put in a fresh battery in my fobs when I first get a new BMW cause the batteries have been know to sit around in the factory. That said, I did a range test with a fresh fob battery and got past 700 feet line of sight. I did a Walmart test from inside the building at the checkout and sure enough it started 200 feet through the walls. I am still playing around with these kids of tests.
