I’ve lowered my x6 MY20 on H&R springs and detail all my experiences to this point. Might be of interest to you guys since the x6 and x5 ride pretty much on the same suspension.

I finally got around to installing the Eibachs. They ride great and provide a nice moderate drop. Pics here: https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1771926

Attempting to revive this thread! Lot of great info in here regarding lowering options for the G05. I'm trying to decide between the Eibach's and H&R. Seems like eibach's ride pretty similar to stock. Can anyone comment on how they are liking the H&Rs?

I have the X5 40i and want to get the H&R Springs and spacers. How much does it cost to get this done with regard to labor and alignment?
I've been quoted as much as $1,700.
What should this cost and how many hours?
Any help is appreciated.

Good luck finding the springs right now. They are on back order with no ETA. Thanks COVID.

By the way, my dealer quoted me 6 hours per axle which seems really excessive. That said, I think some dealers will work with you on the cost if you have a good relationship with them.

At that cost, I am just going to do it myself and save $1000-$2000.

Try Ben at RGSport...he may have the H&Rs in stock. I'm thinking of using them, too.

Unfortunately he doesn't.

That said, I wouldn't buy H&R at this minute. A little birdie (reliable) told me there will be a new option in the not too distant future. This could be a big development too.

Hi! My results on H&R -35mm and spacers 12 mm front and 15 mm rear. So you also can see the difference after lowering in centimetres.

Nice, how is the ride quality on the H&Rs?

Anyone on here care to give review of their ride quality? Any input on rear passenger comfort?

Interested in lowering my G05 m50i w/ standard suspension. Looking for the most OEM+ option. It appears either H&R or Eibach Springs would be the best option? r33_RGSport Any input / could you send me a quote? Thanks!

For M50i, your options are H&R, Eibach, and MSS.
Unfortunately, Eibach USA doesn't have it available yet.

I do have both H&R and MSS in stock.
Both gives about the same amount of drop.
Ride quality wise, H&R tends to be a little harsh.
While MSS is more compliant. Also, MSS is height adjustable spring, so you can dial it to your liking.

I'll PM you on the link to my website.

H&Rs on my M50i..I don’t find the ride harsh at all. It’s slightly firmer but to me, feels much more planted and less floaty. Very happy with the ride. I would describe comfort mode on H&Rs as similar to sport mode on the stock springs. Now when I go sport or sport plus settings, it handles like it’s on rails. Even still, it’s a less harsh than the F95 stock suspension setup, if you have driven one of those. Only complaint was that they didn’t drop it a bit lower..but at that point I would probably be complaining about a bouncy ride. Can’t have it all!

Can anyone else comment on the ride quality of the H&R springs or MSS kit? The price difference between the two is significant.

Ride quality is relatively different for each individual.
For example, most guys with X3M says that stock suspension is super stiff. But in my opinion is perfect.
