Downpipe Swap and Dealership Visits - What do you guys do?
Hey guys,
For those that have downpipes swapped, whether catted or catless, what do you guys do when it comes to dealership visits? I am thinking of going catless, but afraid of dealership visits and the shit they will document under the VIN in their system. I currently have a JB4 and SprintBooster, as well as having the resonator deleted. I know that Exhaust mods wont void warranty, so not too worried about the resonator being cut out. JB4 and SprintBooster can also be removed fairly easily, so also not a concern for me. But something like downpipes are a bit more worrisome because I'd have to pay a shop a good amount of $$$ to get them installed, so it would not be an easy/cheap reversal of it, so thats where my main concern is. Let me know |

On a side note, when I had my 335i with the same set up, I wasn't denied warranty work. I had a fuel pump failure and fuel injector failure on separate occasions.

Thanks for guys for the responses...
So, leave it if its not an issue with engine / transmission / powertrain / etc... but what if you come in for regular service, the put you down as being modified, then when you start having issues, you swap back to the original DP and bring the car in....wouldnt they already have it on file that I was modified... |
