I've been to the dealership today to pick up my new X5 40i xDrive M Sport.

The only deletions I had was the powered lower tailgate, which is now obviously manual and the iDrive controller touchpad, which in all honesty I didn't even know it should of had.

I don't know if this is a deletion but the rear seats can't be dropped from inside the boot (trunk) The levers, if that's what you can call them are now built into the rear seat back rests.

So you have the touch screen display and Apple Carplay then? Good news

I’m not too concerned with potentially losing the electric power tailgate as it seems a gimmick and with cramming in lots of camping gear I can foresee this being a PITA ! That said the dealer was clear it was not a deletion on my order when I specifically raised this with him.

The touch IDrive Controller is borderline useless on RHD cars as for me trying to scrawl with my left hand is not easy !

My dealer and the online BMW Genius both told me that the powered lower tailgate wasn't a deletion but it was.

Yes I've got the touch screen, I'm not sure about Apple CarPlay though, I've not got any Apple products and never will, everything I've got is Android.

Having said that I have never connected a phone to any of the cars that I've ever owned (apart from the 'My BMW' app) My thinking is that if I don't answer then they'll call back.
