Latest iDrive Software?

What's the latest available iDrive software for dealer install on a G05? Currently running a version of 07/2020 and bringing my car in for service next week — looking to request an update if a newer version is available.

Is that version common across the globe? What is the latest version in the UK?

I'm new here, just taken delivery of an M50d. Finding my way round this great forum.

The version is the same although sometimes the timing seems to be a little different.

It's available in the menu via iDrive, see attached:

Car > Settings > General Settings > Remote Software Upgrade > Installed Version

When will 11/2020 be issued? My parking sensors have stopped working but at this range I'd rather wait a week or so before I take it in so I can get the latest istep

3-4 weeks time.

Check cartech forum to see when ISTA support for 11/2020 is added. Dealers will then have it available shortly afterwards, but it can take weeks before BMW make it available to them, depending on region and dealership.

07/2020.54 OTA started in Germany.
With that in mind, is it possible they will do .54 for some and then switch to .60 for the rest?

Interesting, can you point me to the reference of .54 OTA please?

Normally it's the last point release that is released OTA.

It was done at the dealer - Not OTA. Sorry for the lack of clarity.

I would love to get my hands on your Traffic Light code. Would be a reason to finally purchase EsysX.

I did the coding on my F15 which along with the Quidzel Chip enabled traffic jam assistant. It was relatively easy. Even had to power through getting ISTA up and running to clear some errors.

Coding is fun, but it can be tricky. Appreciate all you add to the cause.

Is there a chart somewhere showing the differences between all the versions? I had 07/2020.35 installed the other week at my dealer, what would be different about .54 or .60?

It's ok I got it.

What I think is interesting, is that the RSU approach is 'evolving'. Release of .54 OTA indicates that:
1) BMW are not just releasing the last version of a major branch. This is a more aggressive approach to pilot earlier releases. Maybe they did this before and nobody noticed....
2) 07/2020.54 is not n-1, its the current release.
3) they skipped an RSU release in 03/2020
4) I called October for 07/2020 OTA, but I really didn't think they would deliver
