Audio not working

Hello Everyone!

This morning on my way to work. I noticed that i have no audio and when i try to turn up the volume it just says no audio source available.

I tried turning the car on and off, deleting my iphone and connecting it back into the bmw, and it doesnt work.

Anyone else experience this issue? I had a recall on my 22 M50i and it was at the dealer this Monday.

I called them and they said it can be a software or fuse is probably out. But they dont have an appointment until 05/31

Any help would be appreciated!

Are you having issues with all audio sources or a specific source (FM, AM, XM, Spotify, phone, etc)?

Having issues with all of those. Except the sound from the sensors or gesture control.

I think the first thing to try would be resetting the iDrive system, have you already tried that (keeping the power button depressed for ~30 seconds until the system resets)?

No i haven't, I'm gonna try it once i finish with work today. Let you know if it worked.

Do you do this with the engine off or doesn’t it matter?

It is easiest to do it with the engine on, I do it while driving, so you can see the feedback that the reboot has started.
