The issues I was having with the ConnectedDrive services (traffic, weather, and built-in Spotify app not working or working intermittently) seemed to have resolved today. No longer getting the "you must confirm your BMW ID" message either.
Spotify loaded right up and went straight to my library. Before, it either wouldn't load at all, or would load (but not actually play) in the last song I played but not my playlists or albums or any album art. If you're still having trouble activating I'd probably give the triple iDrive reboot (hold volume button for approximately six weeks . . .) a try one more time. |

Realized i have the same issue since last week - it only shows activating on the car, and I also don't have any traffic information on the map. has anyone find a solution? (already created a support ticket with BMWNA)

Nope. Mine's still "activating" it as of this morning. It's been over a week now. I did notice that when I opened the BMW app on my phone, it prompted me to agree to Connected Drive terms--a message that hasn't appeared since I first installed the app months ago. I was optimistic that once I agreed that the activation would finish; alas I was disappointed...

Add me to the list. After updating iDrive to 11/2023.42 a few days ago, the "Connected Package Professional" is stuck on "Activating".
However since today they offer "Entertainment" with Digital Video and AirConsole Games for 1 year at $0.00. I am sure this is meant to be subscription based thereafter. I would rather prefer to fix the Connected Package Professional activation before they offer me Gaming in the car ... |

Same here, Canadian spec g05 in Dubai. Since mid December it’s been stuck, says that the car has no connection to wifi or signal even though Apple CarPlay works perfectly fine. MyBMW app doesn’t work at all (no remote start, or view vehicle location etc.). Talked to specialist and he said that nothing would be able to fix it *even after asking him if it’s possible to pay to swap computer spec. First noticed it after the app update and iDrive update back in mid Dec, I’ve tried the triple drive reboot, car removal from BMWid and adding it back, uninstalling the app and reinstalling. A little lost going through the rest of the forum since locally none of the dealers want anything to do with my car (due to it being Canadian), even taking it to a regular minor service was a hassle*. Any suggestions?

I’m having the same issue: Connected services is activating.
I have no issues using Carplay or the spotify app in Idrive or the myBMW app. The only thing I think that is not working are traffic information and the voice commands. They are too rubbish to be true. Resetting idrive or scanning the QR code are indeed not a solution. |

Connected Package Professional Activating
I'm having the same problem. I've had the car for 2 weeks, and it is still stuck in "activating." I called, and they put in a ticket. Hopefully, they get enough of us calling, and they will find a fix!

I put in a ticket also. Today, however, I uninstalled the BMW iPhone app and reinstalled it. It now says “activated “ in the car. Don’t know if it will stay that way but I hope it works for anyone having the problem.
