Jb4 help - app

I installed the JB4 today. No problem setting maps etc. quite amazing. Literally push back in the seat difference.
I wonder if any members have experience using the app than they can share.
I want to figure out how to change maps etc other than through the app
Also I believe it is possible to set a valet mode from the app or car interface
Any other tips would be appreciated.

I have the JB4 app and have used it for years over a variety of different BMWs so I am happy to help. I'm not 100% sure I understand your post but it sounds like you do want to use the app correct?

First thing - Did you buy the mobile connection kit? The JB4 doesn't come with bluetooth built in so you need the kit if you want to connect wirelessly.

If you have that and everything is installed you should be able to open the app and connect anytime the car is turned on. From there, the app is really intuitive for the basics that you mentioned as well as datalogging etc.

If you don't want to use the app you need to buy the data cable that is a serial connection to USB and you can make changes with your laptop.

Edit: Also the JB4 tech forum is going to be a lot better for direct technical information/questions than here. Burger Tuning customer service is also super helpful if you shoot them an email.

Appreciate it. Yes. Have the connection kit. Have spent a little time messing with it the last few days and figured it out. I was being impatient. Thanks for your help. It’s a fun tool and JB4 rocks. Just the smooth application of power all the time feels natural - and then the nuts application of power when ou want it.

I'm running a JB4 on my 2025 X5 50e and it works great! I've run a JB4 on my last 3 BMWs over the past 10+ years and have had nothing but good experiences.

Any update on your JB4 experience thus far with the 50e? Any issues? Do you have a mini review or can you comment whether it was worth the effort and cost?

Thanks.

Lol I have a 2 month old at home, testing my 0-60 time isn't exactly my top priority at the moment. If someone wants to lend me their Dragy I'm happy to do it but I can't find mine and I don't have a need to buy another for now.
