Selling my unopened box of Bowers and Wilkins LED + Speaker upgrade kit. I purchased from Aliexpress and box is unopened. Took nearly 2 months to get here from Asia and this is a great way to upgrade your interior. Several members have done it and the results are fantastic. My kit is as pictured below, with speakers (most expensive package), not just cover pieces.

Packaging and the boxes these come look legit to me. Maybe others who have done this might comment and weigh in. The tweeters are definitely NOT B&W.

Forgive me for the ignorance but is the expectation that these are genuine speakers or knockoffs? Are they just the stock genuine speakers with cosmetic upgrade or actual genuine upgraded speakers? Or a knockoff replica? Confused by comments that they appear genuine but also that tweeter is not BW.

The tweeters are definitely not because they did not come in boxes nor did they have a part stick affixed to them. B&W mid range speakers, using the part number on the box and speaker itself run between $170-200. https://www.bmwpartsdirect.com/oem-p...er-65139279635. This seller whom I purchase it from advertised it with B&W speakers.

Let's be clear, I'm not trying to sell full GENUINE B&W speaker kit '(genuine covers/tweeters/mid-range). This is a kit from China, presumably a copy of the real deal but very good quality. The mid range units appear to be genuine B&W mid range speakers. I don't see why they'd go out of their way to make replica boxes, replica stickers, and replica packaging just for the mid range units.

Look, this kit is great way for those who want to upgrade for their ambient interior cabin and appearance vs speaker performance. You can always upgrade your speakers later but these covers/ambient lighting really enhance the experience.

Appreciate that clarification. So would it cosmetically look like the OEM speaker covers and LEDs? They'll change color and interact with the existing ambient lights just like the OEM ones? If I'm coming from the basic speakers the sound would be either the same or better but not worse? How hard is the install and how much do audio places usually charge approximately?

Thanks for entertaining all my noob questions. Bottom line is I'm wondering how much it'll at least cosmetically resemble the genuine product even if it's not exactly it. The more I check it out the more confusing it is because it appears to flow through different colors somehow but stock Hifi doesn't do that so not sure how that gets activated either.

Out of curiosity what made you change your mind?

Thanks that's super helpful. This is really tempting given that I've got the hifi speakers so cosmetic upgrade aside I'm guessing these speakers are likely at least a small upgrade in sound too.

cant comment on the sound as I went a different route, plus had HK not hifi, but they do look legit, but I have zero experience with it as I purchased them without speakers because I was only after the cosmetic upgrade, but i think anything may be better than hifi speakers haha
