I just did a resonator delete but used a 3-inch X-pipe instead of straight pipes. It sounds better than the straight pipes but higher in pitch with the valves open in comparison to the stock m-sport exhaust, which I am not a fan of. However, the car is pulling much better now as the resonator pipes were narrower than 3 inches inside the piping.

I will delete the muffler next week and have a custom setup in the back to have a slightly deeper sounding V8 like my previous F15 50i.

can you please post a video of how it sounds with the X pipe. Which X pipe did you end up going with?
What are your plans for the muffler?

I'd love to hear how it sounds now, and then a follow up video after the muffler delete

Lurking and waiting as I'm looking to do this very soon and choosing between straight pipe vs x pipe but leaving muffler.

It's not allowed in Switzerland and they are very keen on such mods!

Nope. No way I would pay that much ($4,400+shipping+install) for an exhaust mod.
I purchased the end pipes and the mufflers and got them installed at a shop. Very happy with the result.

This is how it sounds after the custom exhaust setup. It sounds much better while driving at higher rpms (almost like a Lambo):

I am thinking about installing exhaust cut outs just behind the secondary cats. That way if I want it completely stock I can have that. Has anyone ever played around with this?

Slight drone on load at 1800 rpm from the back of the car.

I deleted the useless valves as well. So open all the time.

You can use any 3-inch in and out non-resonated x-pipe.
I used custom made boxes in the back (3-inch straight-thru, approx. 12"x8"x5").

Tips from ebay.

Nice sound! I'm thinking of going Res Delete/X-pipe and different mufflers as well. Why'd you choose custom mufflers?

Links to the exhaust tips would be a huge help now that you've verified they fit in the shroud.

Any 4" tip with maximum width of 8" and depth of 10" would fit. The opening after removing the OEM tail pipe is big enough to accomodate double 4" tips on both sides but there is only limited space up and down.

Mines were 10 inches long and 8 inches wide at the tips, which fit perfectly. Remember, you need to get slanted tips.

Visit the following eBay store: https://www.ebay.com/str/hybers11

The total cost using all stainless steel material (including the tips) is $350+install.
