That is misinformation even for those vehicles that go by train. The accessories are added at the Accessories Center near the plant and no software updates are done at Oxnard. The only inspection is for damage in transit.

Sweet, giving me hope too. I also ordered on 11/13, and am using a slot for BMW Austin (not the South location, but North one). Really hoping to get the SUV in December at least. Have a rental until 12/26 right now and would love to not have to extend it.

I’m still scheduled for production (no VIN).

Genius last night said week 51 which means build date of Dec 17-23 then inspections/transit/all that jazz.

Same here, still 112. :-(. Know it is early anyways but hoping each day now for a flip soon.

I just read that the tax credit would be applied like a discount from the sale price from Jan 2024. Maybe just worth taking delivery in Jan?
P.S I priced my 50e to be just under the 80k limit

Yep, that's true for 2024. I wished I could get it but I wanted to option this one out a lot so ended up closer to $90K MSRP. Figure with its electric range would keep it a while likely.

First of all your dealer may not hold it until January, they likely won't depending on the timing. More importantly, we currently do not know if the 50e will qualify for any of the credit in 2024 due to the change in the battery requirements.

Military discount

According to the BMW site looks like the same Nov. discounts are in effect thru Jan 2, 2024. They appear to change them exactly day following the previous expiration. So look to 1/3/24 for an update.

BTW 11/9/23 111 code, 11/ 12/23 Vin assigned, 11/30/23 code 150 with 12/1/23 prod. date, 11/30/23 assembly begins, 12/1/23 dispatched fm factory. One X5 M60i headed to AZ! Things appear to be moving fast near the end of year!

Yes, the certificates have been updated for December however they still do not reflect the $3k for financing/leasing with BMWFS. If the dealer denies that is the amount have them contact BMWFS.

Oh, that makes sense. I'm not going to wait for this then.

The drop to 3.0% on a finance for M60i is tempting enough that I may flip from leasing to purchasing. Have been back and forth already and this seems compelling for a purchase.

Is the 3% rate via BMWFS? If so, where did you see that? I am locked into the 5.29% rate for 90 days with the option to lock a better rate if one becomes available prior to delivery, obviously would prefer to lock-in the 3% rate 😂!

I was told by my CA this morning the 2.99% for the 60 months requires you to take delivery by 12/23/23 and that the rate is not lockable.

Guess anything is possible bit that is not how BMWFS has operated their locks in the past. When you fill out the credit app you get a no-harm lock that enables you the choose the best rate/incentive combination that is available each month until delivery. The exception to that is the domestic military incentive which is always taken as the current one available.

I would agree. Not sure of the 2.99% is a special holiday rate or not though, which could be possible. However if that was the case I would think it would have just gone through the New Year at least. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It is listed as part of the Road Home sales event. That goes through Jan 2 so perhaps it is a non-lockable rate since for the credit it says must take delivery by that date.

Cool, that’s promising.

It does also mention:

Quote:
All offers are subject to availability from existing dealer inventory.
Would this exclude custom orders?

Maybe not… because at the start it also says:
