Hang in there. I spent most of the time getting detail supplies and other car accessories. The wait sure is brutal (and expensive :P).

This is hopeful, I have been at Awaiting Carrier Assignment too for few days. Tells us that at-least shipping is continuing even though factory is closed. So still hopeful for this year's delivery.

Checked this am and the status has changed to Dispatched From Factory, so hopefully I can pick it up before the new year

Congratulations, no change in my status. My SA texted me this morning, he got an email from the VDC saying that it is on a carrier currently, it will arrive before the months end......

Thanks! I'm glad I resisted the urge to text my CA and ask what was going on, knowing they have no influence in the process.

Mine is at the dealership now, could have picked up today, however, stuck @work, so will take delivery tomorrow or Thu for sure

SC to NJ all updated in a day? I'm across a couple more bridges than where you are....were you ever at "in transit?" Or did you skip that step and go straight to dealership?

Yes so last night (11 pm est) it was still awaiting carrier assignment status, checked this morning and it was dispatched, and then got a call from my CA around 2:30 pm that it’s here. And yes I went straight from Dispatched to At dealership. Hoping your car comes soon as well

For those of you who are still listening, my X5 arrived at the dealership, so it took one day from Dispatch to At Dealership. I skipped the In Transit step. They told me the MSO usually arrives on Friday, and Saturday they are closed (New Years Day, obviously), and they don't do deliveries on Sunday (why that is, I have no idea) so looking like I will take delivery Monday. My CA told me sales manager will contact me to arrange the delivery, so it sounds like my CA is sortve hands off at this point?

Quick question...if a car (mine) is on the lot but sold, they can't let people test drive it, right? I assume they'll let people sit in it...fine, I get it ...but test drive is out of the question, right?

I don’t get the MSO thing, my car was at the dealership yesterday at 2:30 pm and they wanted me to come get it later that evening.

I picked up my car today, yay, no surprise, no real push on any extras either.

And usually the dealership won't allow anyone to sit in the car or drive it. They may unlock it to show the interior, but it’s all dealer dependent. I highly doubt they would allow a test drive on a sold car.

I just called BMW Genius and the guy on the phone never heard of an MSO and has no idea what that is. Alrighty then.

Seems like it happens to folks in New York. A search of MSO on bimmerpost returned threads from people (mostly/all?) in NY.

The MSO arrives with the car. The dealer is just stalling.
