22" vs 21" tires - interesting observation

So I was playing with tire size calculator and looks like factory 22" tires are slightly different compared to 21". Is it by design? Or it makes no difference at all?

I believe the difference is accounted for by the software (iDrive allows us to choose which tires on our car).

Guys don’t need to mystify this. small difference doesn’t matter. Unless you are doing 100% straight in a perfectly flat surface, the front and rear wheel turn at small different speed anyway. The out side and inside wheel turn at different speed too. 0.7% is nothing to worry about. If you get up yo 3-4%, then I will start to worry.
