24 X5 *New* w/610mi on odo
I have been an X3m40i guy for the past few years, currently have a '22. I took a look at a' 24 X5 xDrive40i Msport this weekend but it had 610mi on the odo. My question, as I have only ordered my X3s, would the X5 be considered a used car based on the mileage?

No, mileage does not really come into play as to whether it is used or not. It depends on your state's law, how those miles were put on, whether it was registered or not, etc. In general, id a vehicle is used by a dealer as a loaner then it can be sold as new. As far as BMWFS is concerned, as long as it has under 5,000 miles it is considered new and eligible for new vehicle incentives.

Agree, I don't necessarily need more space but I travel a lot and I love the more comfortable interior. I love the power and overall sportiness of the X3m40i, but it's time to grow up and not drive like a maniac. 😎

You can still drive like a maniac in the X5, if you don't have the adaptive M suspension package you can download the software from BMW for a one time fee. I paid $500 last October, good for the life of the car. It improves the suspension! All X5's have the adaptive damper chassis so this is all it takes to activate it.

Just to make sure, how do you know the car had 610 miles on the odo? I’m asking because I got stumped by this too. On the LCI, the odo only shows when you turn the car off after a drive or if you select it from the display sub-menu. That miles figure you see in the lower left corner right above the fuel gauge is actually the miles to empty figure. And aroun 600 miles is what that number should be on a full tank in a new car.
