Yes it is possible. We just had someone the other week change to PCD after hitting 150. Whether it is available or not may depend on the PCD scheduling. They just opened it up to all vehicles once again so it is likely filling up.

Not on a regularly scheduled basis, only when needed.

Wow things move fast. Status 153 now. My car has entered the assembly line! Hopefully they can get it through QC tomorrow and on a truck by Friday!

Congrats man!! I am debating changing mine to a performance center delivery just to avoid the train delay. Decisions decisions.

That would be a drive back to the West Coast. Do you plan on getting PPF or a Ceramic coating?

I would just pay a trucking company to transport it. Looks like it can be done for about $1000 and takes less than a week. Flight is about $1200. Don’t know if it’s worth the hassle to get it here a couple weeks sooner. I should probably just be patient. You have me considering the ceramic coating just to help it stay cleaner. Supposedly there are some DIY sprays that have the same effect, might go that route.

You likely won't get it any sooner doing PCD. They usually will be at least two weeks out and could be a month or more. Add in the trucking time and it will be close to normal delivery.

It's interesting that the car gets painted, paint dries, and they complete the rest of the assembly in 1 day. That paint bake process much cure the paint very quick.

That happens a few days prior to assembly. The Spartanburg plant rarely will show the steps between Production Begins and Entering Assembly line. I think two people reported seeing those steps but it was never verified.

I went from "Production Begins" at around 9am this morning to "Entering Assembly" by 3pm. I checked maybe twice between 9am and 3pm, and it was still on "Production Begins." So, this makes a lot of sense. I'm still on "Entering Assembly," which I bet has probably already started at this point, and they update after the fact.
