So the interest rates for 2025 models are 3.34%, whereas the 2024 models are 5.29?

Edit: it looks like it’s also 5.29% in Illinois for 2025 models. My 50e just entered the assembly line, and I was hoping for lower rates to not needing to buy cash.. oh well

To clarify, I can apply on the BMW financial service Website, and lock in the rate for 40 days, correct?
What if the dealer is marking up their rate, but financial services is giving me a lower rate?

No, you can not get a rate from the web site. That all must go through a dealer. When you fill out the credit app you get a no harm lock for at least 60 days (90 on the West coast and all areas were bumped to 120, not sure if they cam down or not) based on the rate your dealer gives you. The credit will go to a specific dealer and their rates apply.

Anyone know if this 2.99% marketed rate from BMW FS is a lockable rate, have a BMW Delivery next month and it would be shame If I am unable to lock in this rate?

It should be lockable. When there are special non-lockable rates they are usually advertised as part of a sales event.

Yes, that is a special rate for the sales event and is not lockable or available on custom orders. That said, we have had dealers bend the rules to include orders but if they get caught during an audit they will get dinged.

Yes, unfortunately there usually is a disconnect between online and actual terms and why you always have to confirm it. My dealer also told me yesterday about the rate but it wasn't lockable and BMW is trying to get rid of the remaining 24s with 25s coming up. The only possibility here and I've seen this before is that they extend this offer past April 1st. So if you've ordered already you can hopefully take advantage of the offer.

It is sort of misleading but all that is saying is that your credit has been approved based on what has been entered and it gives you your lock period. Its does not mean the rate that was used in the application is the one you wil get, that os between you and the dealer.

Would this be treated as dealer inventory when the vehicle is in, as I did not sign any paperwork for the order by itself?

No, some dealers will do that but will pay for it if they are caught during the audit.
