Can anyone with 4 way climate control do me a huge favor?

I'm asking there are no G05's at dealer with the 4 way system right now. Please turn on your X5 and switch the rear climate controls from auto to manual and then max out the fan to highest speed. Is there a bit of vibration that you can feel in the center armrest? It's smooth until about 3/4 to 4/4 full speed and then there's a slight vibration. Dealer says it's abnormal and wants to charge me almost $1000 to replace the fan. We haven't used our rear climate controls until just recently so we never noticed it and now our warranty is expired. Thanks!

I just went out and tried it in our ‘23. I guess if I try real hard I can feel a very slight difference when it’s on but I don’t think I would have noticed if I hadn’t been looking for it. Good luck getting it resolved.

Appreciate you trying it out. Yes it's very noticeable at high speeds so it might be the bearing on the motor going out. Thanks!

I noticed the vibration in my 2019 X5 40i when the kids in the back had turned the temperature setpoint to extremes forcing the highest speed on the fan. I could feel the vibration in the center console to the point that I would go into remote controls from the front and reduce the fan speed. I do notice some fan noise but not the vibration problem in my new 2024 X5 50e.

So it might be "normal operation" for my '19, maybe they upgraded the motor. I'll just say no then and just eat the diag fees.
