Another new X5 M50i on order - Tanz Blue
Here is my build:
2021 X5 M50i Tanzanite Blue II Metallic (C3Z) 20" wheels 740M (1TD) Ivory White/Night Blue Extended Merino (ZAEI) Aluminum dark mesh trim (4KM) Driving Assistance Pro (ZDY) Parking Assistance Package (ZPK) 2-axle air suspension w/IAS (2VR / 2VH) Front/Rear heated seats + armrests/steering wheel (4HB) Front massaging seats (4T7) Space-saver spare (300) M-Sport Brakes / Red calipers (3M2) Ordered around 10/20, currently showing "Scheduled for Production". According to dealer, scheduled for week 49, so end of November. Really went back and forth on Exec Package, but in the end decided it wasn't worth the extra $. Same for the 21/22" wheels, as tire options are very limited. Went with the Air Suspension as the roads around here are terrible, and really enjoy the Air ride on our 2019 Audi Q7 (also has the 4-wheel steering, which is amazing). Love the Tanz Blue / Red caliper combo. A little concerned on the Ivory seats, but from what I've read they can be protected with little effort. Looking forward to making a few conservative mods. Wish there was more 3rd party bolt-on exhaust options, e.g. Remus and similar. Excited to be in a V8 again, been many years (last V8 was a 80s 5.0 Mustang) - looking forward to the low-end torque as compared to my recent turbo V6s. |

The tanzanite with the ivory white/blue combo should be a great looker. Mine is week 49 build too, so hoping for a mid December delivery when the incentives hopefully improve.

Nice build.
It took me days to decide between Tanz Blue and Mineral White. Tanz is the better color i just couldn't afford it! Congrats

Also, one feature I wish we had available (not sure if it was part of Exec or not) was the motorized track cargo cover thing that was discontinued (2019 and some 2020s had it) due to supply chain issues. |

Website still shows "Production Begins" for me, but, the 1-800 # says estimated completion of 12/1, which I find a little optimistic given the Thanksgiving holiday. But, I am optimistic I should have it mid-Dec. Has anyone heard if the BMW incentives are going to be any better in Dec than Oct?

Mine is being built next week too. It's certainly the hope that the incentives will improve slightly for December, but I don't see huge changes for the X5. They got a little worse from October to November.

Looking forward to seeing pics of the Tanz Blue with the Ivory/Blue interior. Going to be a great combo.

Yep, you called it. Went to "Awaiting carrier assignment" late yesterday afternoon. Amazing how quickly the car was built. I mean, you would think that the paint would need to dry for a bit longer :-)

Congrats!! Yeah they crank them out fast! IMO, the hardest waits are just before production, and right after. It was only a few days of waiting for a carrier when they built my F15, but it felt like WEEKS. Was excruciating.
Good to see that they nailed your estimated production date though. |

The language is confusing on the web site when they say "production begins". It doesn't mean what it sounds like. It really just means that we put it in the production schedule and made it a "real" car with a VIN.

AT THE DEALERSHIP Guess whatever they do "at the port" was taken care of before it shipped. Unfortunately I am not local to the dealership so I still have to arrange shipping. But just wanted to update other Week 49'ers. |
