I ordered an X5 45e back at the end of March, with an expected build date of this week and elivery of July. I was informed today that my order has been cancelled by BMW and they would build me a 2023 version.

I am mad, and not sure if I want to stay with BMW.

Wow that sucks. Did they give you a reason why? If you order the MY23 will you have to incur the mid cycle price increase? Or will they honor the 22 price. My guess is no. What is your other options if you leave BMW?

When you said you ordered, do you mean you got allocation or just order accepted by CA but still pending allocation available? Dealer got your order is nothing more than “ yes we noted that, we will put you in waiting list for next available allocation”. Dealer has no idea when and how many allocation they will get it.

I'm anxiously awaiting to see if the same happens to my week 26 build because of the individual color :/. Please keep us updated if your vehicle was ordered and you received a production number vs only having the order in.

Our 45e M-Sport is also a week 26 build because of the Java Green Individual color. We're also doing PCD.

Haven't heard anything from our CA about being canceled and moved to a MY 23.

OP is in Canada and they have a different ordering system than us in the US so their experience may not equate to what you will have happen.

As long as they are willing to honor your 2022 Price, what's the issue of getting a 2023 instead?

I did place an order, I got an order confirmation number from BMW and this week I was called and told that my order is likely cancelled.

I have no info for now, other than I have to wait until they get the 23 order guide and decide path forward.

I have the 2nd order in at Grand River BMW for a 45e. There were multiple orders cancelled and I am told I will get the 2nd 45e this particual dealership gets.

Estimated delivery date is September if I go through with it.

yugo9 If they will offer the 2022 price for the 2023 model it might be worth the September wait. Which direction are you leaning in? Someone recently posted the ordering guide in another thread on this forum.

Just called Genius and they are still showing me as a week 26 build, and no issues. Told me to call back about a week before wk. 26 or when my status changes to get an accurate build date.

I too have a week 26 build slot. I have my production number and as of now have no reason to believe it will be delayed to a 2023 build.
