X5 Order - Multi-contour Seats Unavailable

Hi Yall! First post here. I'm finally coming over to the dark side from Lexus. I just can't see myself driving an SUV with a grill larger than the car.

This week I sent several offers to dealers in Houston for a semi-loaded X5 xDrive 40i M-Sport. The best deal I could find was $2,500 off MSRP of $77070.

Carbon Black, Multi-Seats, M-Sport, Parking, Premium, 22's, Hitch, Calipers, Shades, Heated Seats, 4-zone, HK Sound, Shadowline Trim

Yesterday, when the dealer submitted the order, BMW informed them Multi-contour seats are unavailable for build until further notice. I canceled the order and told them to hold off until all options are available.

Next day, a shady dealer ordered my car without my approval and replaced the Multi-contour seats with the Luxury seating package.

Dealer said, when it arrives in 6-8 weeks, come on in and see if you want it for our price. Yeah right!

The search continues...

Multi-contour seats are part of the Luxury Seating Package. The package just adds ventilation and massaging on top.

Well I'll take either one. Dealer 1 said multi contour seats are not available to order and dealer 2 who ordered my car says lux seats are available. Dealer 1 says that's not possible. So who knows?

What model X5? 45e, sdrive40i, xdrive40i?

It would not surprise if they eliminated the stand alone option and made it available only with the luxury seating package. It's easy enough to tell with the order sheet or F12 trick if you get the order number.

Have the dealer run a 'Vehicle Inquiry: Design/MSRP' and print it out. That will tell you exactly what is included and the order status.
