Train arrived at Renton yesterday am and my garage showed at the port. This am, showing at the dealer. Haven’t received any calls in it, but hopefully it was just the first one off the train. Can’t pick it up til Sunday either way, so doesn’t really matter. But it would be nice to not have to wait a couple weeks.

It showed on the tracker same day at the dealer it pulled into the rail yard. I got a call today (salesman was off for 2 days. I think it was probably the last one on the train and the first off. Same thing happened at the factory. Was built and like within 12 hours, it was on the train. I’m on shift, but will be picking it up Sunday.
As far as markup, no markup here. Straight msrp. And take off military discount. And the feed the homeless or whatever it was. So like 3,000 or so off. Last edited by Firedad; 02-26-2022 at 09:16 AM.. |

Looking at their website. It looks like those 2 vehicles with the additional price have a second set of wheels/tires. I doubt they’d make someone buy them. Probably a summer/winter set up.

I got an update yesterday from the dealer for my plug-in. The car is now in Renton and should be here "any day now." It is now showing up as "coming soon" on the dealer's website. The original invoice date was 11/15/2021, so it has been 3 months & 2 weeks since the order was placed.

45e... loaded it up. Wanted the 20 instead of the 21 wheels due to all season. Great car. Surprised at how much power it actually has. And love the Carbon Black color. |

Wow! That's a surprise. Mine is due in Renton on 3/15 but I was hoping it would make the trip to Seattle fairly quickly. Maybe they wait for enough cars to arrive in Renton to save cost on the last leg?

My deal was agreed back in November, with a plan to submit the order in January. They put me in the order bank at that time and reserved a January allocation for me. That was timed to meet the end of my current lease in early April.
Had I waited until January to have the discussion I would not expect them to have an allocation available right away. Probably would have been looking at May delivery at the earliest. |

Call me distrustful, but there's no dealership I'd wait around for on a production number - do or do not, there is no try ... Just too much room for dealers to play games with you if they don't have PN. |

Good Info .... I ordered in early March and I got a production number and VIN the next day. It's been sitting in the "PRODUCTION BEGINS: Today's the day: your BMW has entered the production queue." section for many days, but I hear when it starts moving, it moves quickly. I'm in Bend, Oregon, so guessing not much different than Portland.

Just a quick update on my car's progress to Seattle:
Dispatched from factory: 2/21 At the port: 3/20 So almost a month to reach the Renton rail yard. There was an interesting little glitch or odd behavior in the tracking that might be useful for anyone else tracking their car on the same route. Back on 2/27 the tracking jumped from "Dispatched from factory" to "In transit", skipping "At the port". BMW genius explained to me that had occurred as it left the Kansas city interchange on 2/27. It then sat at "In transit" until today when it took an apparent step backwards in the tracking to "At the port". I'm fairly certain that means it is now at the Renton rail yard as my dealer was projecting that to happen on the 19th. The dealer expects to receive within a couple days so I should be riding in style within the week :-) |

Forgive me if I go off topic a bit, since there are a group of Puget sound owners here, wondering what's the first registration cost? Does the X5e require the full EV fees?
