Tesla’s stainless steel Cybertruck was involved in its first reported accident after finally hitting the road last month — and it wasn’t pretty for the other car.
A Toyota Corolla was left crumpled after appearing to collide head-on with the fully electric, bomber-like vehicle on Thursday, according to a Reddit post that showed photos of the accident. The Toyota’s front end was completely demolished, with the sedan’s side airbags deployed as it rested on the side of the road with its hood popped open and a headlight dangling, one photo shows. The Cybertruck, meanwhile, appeared in perfect condition — though the front end wasn’t clearly visible — as it straddled the yellow line on a two-lane road in Palo Alto, Calif., according to the Reddit post, which was earlier reported on by the Verge. https://nypost.com/2023/12/29/busine...eported-crash/ |

The impact was on the left side of the Cybertruck. It's not perfect, but definitely look less severe. The big question is how repairable it's going to be, considering the mega casting in the rear and super-hard steel exterior...

Man the original article title is such clickbait. The Reddit post is clear that the corolla ran into the side of the cybertruck.

My understanding is that a Tesla robot attacked the Honda driver and then the Cybertruck crashed into the Honda as well. Then the Cybertruck caught on fire later and 150,000,000 gallons of water was needed to quench the conflagration.
Despite all of this the eagle of freedom flew down and lifted the Honda driver to safety while playing God Bless America on bagpipes once owned by Thomas Jefferson. |

Fake news source.
"The only injury noted was a 'suspected minor injury' to the Cybertruck driver, though he declined medical transportation." Apparently being burned alive while simultaneously turning into ground beef is a "minor injury". You might fool the sheeple with your fake news, but I've been in the "still want an EV thread" I know the TRUTH! |

So, the 17-year-old Corolla driver was fucking around in his Corolla (he must have thought he has an SR - was it?), lost control and hit the Cybertruck with a glancing blow. I feel bad for the Cybertruck owner. I hope Tesla can come up with a new one for him ASAP.

If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

What level of attention-seeking do you have to be to drive one of those things...holy cow. I guess attention is the currency in modern times.

I have to be honest, the looks of it are starting to grow on me.

I sort of like the aggressive cab forward design. For a non-work truck bed configuration, I think it is a great design. Not sure why the windshield center rearview mirror can't display the rear camera image though. Thank God it doesn't follow the rest of the Tesla family design theme.
