Recall for dynamic handling patch
BMW Genius made me aware of a software patch for a dynamic handling recall. I'm bringing the car in to get the update done and also hopefully get the BWM Key Card issue resolved.
Anyone have any issues with new bugs in the iDrive after they've done this update? I'm on 2018.23 right now and I'm assuming they'll be putting 2018.48 or higher on it.

Here's a thread on this from mid December. This is the same DSC recall I'm going in for. Got a loaner scheduled because you never know how long these updates can take and I'm also having them address my other issues with the Key Card not working.

Oh, okay. So I had that update from the factory, despite them telling me in December I need it, only to show up at the dealer and have them say I already had that version (or newer) on the vehicle.

Realize that iDrive version has nothing to do with the various systems in the vehicle, they all have different schemes for the DSC, KAFAS, etc.
And I'm in the original .43 of iDrive, to answer your question. 12/8 delivery built in week 48 right after thanksgiving. |

If they haven't hooked your car up at the dealer and verified, you don't know if it's there or not. The system said mine needed two updates, and both were already on the vehicle.

Got my updates done. When I got the car back it was on 11/2018.49 and previously on 11/2018.23. Haven't noticed anything different, but had to update apps and services and reboot the iDrive to get everything working and I was good to go.

I picked mine up last week and they said all software was current from the factory so I assume mines good. They legally can't let you pick up a new car with an active recall. I hope they sort it out for everyone
