It depends what sales region you're in. By crossing into a different sales region we were able to get a $2,000 finance credit and a $1,500 owner loyalty credit. There's also a $190 gesture credit that will be applied when we go sign the papers.

I will but please understand we had to go to PA, outside of Philly, to get out of the less favorable NJ sales region where those incentives do not apply.

guys, wanted some input...

on an island so they aren't giving me 6% off MSRP.. I got them to 2k above invoice so MSRP was $87k. They'll do $83,660 (3.95 % off )

was thinking about a lease.. payments for 36 months would be $1,296 with $0 down.. does this sound about right???? I have no clue as I've never leased before. everyone's seems to be a lot lower lease price I've seen?

here's the thing I don't understand about a lease.. people have said they are comparable to a loan.. I can't see this at all.. if I pay $1,296 a month for 36 months, that's $46.6k in depreciation.. There is no way in my mind that is level with a loan.. I had a 12 year old Range Rover that was still work 10k.. If I leased cars with BMW around this level for 12 years it would be 46.6k x 4 = $186,000 ) where one Range Rover is 100k........ I'm failing to see how a lease is anything but 2x expensive....

am I looking or calculating numbers wrong.. someone please help me!

any input gladly accepted and appreciated!!!

What's special about 12 years? In 6 years you could have gone through a lease term, bought out the car on a 36 month term, have it paid off, and have no car payment for the next 6 years. Or you could've leased 4 brand new cars in 12 years. Your comparison to one new Range Rover is extremely flawed.

IMO any kind of financial gimmick that is/was developed by a vendor is going to help their pocketbook not yours.

Cash is king unless you got a fixed 15 yr. mortgage at 2.75% like we did. THEN, you're smart to use someone else's money, not yours.

You're looking at it wrong. 100% of your monthly does NOT go to depreciation. This will vary by state, but I'd guess roughly 80% of my payment goes to depreciation, and the rest is interest. That alone would bump your 186k figure way way down.

Thoughts on this deal? I’m fairly unimpressed but this is as far as I got in first round of negotiations.

MSRP $66,470
Dealer Discount -$2,000
Loan rebat -$2,000
Sale price before TTL fees $62,470

What discount should I be pushing for? This is a lot car and not special order.

Not bad. Could probably get a little more discount and loyalty credit if you have another BMW.

If you want, PM me for my CAs info, he’s great to deal with.

Group Fleet program is still available but has been changed for 2019. You'll need to bug your HR contact for the new procedure.

Edit: Which dealer do you use in the Boston area? I'm looking to purchase soon and any referrals are appreciated.

I am not sure that's the best. But I will let you know once I sign a better deal.

Quotes OK?

I asked for financing and lease offers here in NC for an X5 40i build with PCD in mid to late March. Let me know what you guys think:

MSRP: 79,270

Finance Offer
Dealer Discount: 3,154
APR Credit: 2,000
Adjusted Price: 74,116
Taxes and Fees: 3,003.42
Balance: 77,119.42
APR: 3.89% @ 72 months
$7k down = $1096\month

Lease Offer
Dealer Discount: 3,154
Loyalty Credit: 1,500
Net Price: 74,616
36 month
12K miles
Money Factor: 0.00198
$3k down = $1059\month

Fees mentioned are $925 acquisition, $598 doc, $104 to DMV.

If I do the math right, it's about 4% off MSRP. They started at 3 and came back at 4. Looking to probably finance, but wanted to see both options. Isn't there a loyalty credit ($1500) on top of the APR credit ($2000) for financing or am I misreading things online? I feel like the MF could come down too on the lease side. Its standard at 0.00182, correct? Any other wiggle room you all see?

Thanks and let me know what you think!

I've posted this before but here it is again. For anyone in the DC area (MD, VA) or who don't mind driving there send me a DM. There's an excellent CA myself and many other people here have worked with that will give you 6-6.1% odd MSRP + incentives. He's a great guy and really knows his stuff. I live in Texas and bought my car through him to give you guys an idea.

Does anyone know where/if the BMW Corporate Sales Program still applies to immediate family members of eligible employee? I.E. my spouse works for a company with the CSP, but vehicle will be in my name only.

That's what I was told by BMWCCA. I have not confirmed with BMW NA. It's only 250 now anyway if not financing with USAA.
