Yes, you have had it fairly bad. I had a less than desire situation myself in 2017. Long story short, another BMW vehicle had to be built which delayed our delivery by a month.

No surprise, sorry to hear that either way. I would hope BMW Co l would've fixed their system by now or at least have made some progress. I'm an engineer and could likely do logistics better than how they're doing things. I've had my fair share of gigantic disasters to figure out. Perhaps they're need a 3rd party audit or help. Outside parties can see flaws easier than people who work there and are someone's blind to the real issue


Edit: GM confirmed the car is there. They're leaving it in transport mode and not touching a thing until I go there.

Bingo. Not much has improved with the online tracker (well, nothing has) since the purchase of my E70 6 years ago.

BMW could put some focus on improving this as it helps drive a better initial impression and experience for their buyers...

And then also improve:

- The phone system: Calling their "Geniuses", I was dropped multiple times, told their systems were down - call back later, placed into a hold that was a dead end/no pickup. All multiple times... multiple.

- The "ConnectedDrive" website: I can't update my payment method or my personal information. If I try to add an email account under services... it fails.. I can't add a new news feed source.. Under Map Update, can someone tell me which map region to select so I can auto update my X5's maps...? The list of regions... they're all cryptic (WTF).

- The Connected App: What a turd that has been. Getting it to actually "connect" (ironic - no?) was an odyssey. Phone calls, resets, reinstalls.

- iDrive 7: CarPlay, Hotspot, Apps and a long list of other buggy shit that are in absolute plain sight - not missed by your beginner-level QA tester.

BMW delivers an absolute top notch hardware experience and then delivers a consistently, across the board, awful software experience. Which is concerning... because future innovations are going to be driven more and more from the latter.

So the car definitely didn't leave SC until sometime after 1037 yesterday. This is from the BMW connected app since the car is registered to my account.

Dealer probably got your paperwork.... "At the Dealership" is triggered when the vehicle is entered into the dealer inventory. Paperwork travels independently of your vehicle...

No, the GM confirmed bit arrived there today and left yesterday we've been in touch with each other about the status since he agreed to a couretsy delivery. It was in SC yesterday by all accounts unless someone's bot giving accurate info but the good doesn't lie

they physically touched the car to confirm

Mine went to the At the Dealership status this morning. Emailed my CA and he said it was not sure to arrive there until Tuesday. Looks like the system, at least in my case, is not accurate.

Don't know what to say because they told me it's there unless someone at the dealer is wrong. I wouldn't be surprised if happened, the GM I'm working with has been trying to fix the mess with people there.

Surprised it was active. I did the same in May 2017 for PCD and it was not active until 24-36 hours prior to delivery. We already had a Connected account as well.

I did take delivery yesterday, dropped the car off to get PPF, ceramic and tint today. I'll have it back next week.
