thanks, I'm sure I will. once I get the car I'll post how I think the 50i with DHP compares to the X3 M40i which obviously has the M Suspension and pretty good handling

It depends on when the car really gets there. I live 5hrs from that dealer (long story) and the shop doing my PPF and ceramic can't for the car in until a week from Monday. I could technically get the car drive it to the shop and get a loaner or rental, go home and pick it up a few days later. It all depends on what the time frame is and if I can get an earlier booking for the work (meaning someone cancels). I can easily take the day off as needed which is why I love my job

How long does this stage last usually?

From what I have read, the carriers work even through weekends/holidays mostly!

BMW NA pushed my car production to this month and has assured me it will be completed on Jan 26th. My original date was week 1 that got pushed to week 3, then week 6 and then “order received”
However, they have not been transparent and given me no explanation for 4 weeks delay from original date of completion. I have told them I won’t take the delivery until I get an explanation for screwing my car up! I should’ve had my car in transit by now!

This is still one of the weirdest build/production stories I’ve read here. I’d love to hear BMW’s explanation.

Your BMW is being prepared for transport.

I guess it completed on time in week 3.

I hope they have the updated version of software on it for most of the fixes.
