Why is it that BMW only offers selected colours whereas Audi will paint your vehicle in any colour you can imagine when you buy the "individual paint" option?

Porsche also, but at an $11k (USD) premium.

Can we please get some real colors? I find these additions to be a joke.

My Sapphire Black isn’t right. I need a “midnight onyx“, “black velvet”, “dark sable”, “wet metallic asphalt” or “ebony anthracite”.

Although I was quite a fan of my Grigio Telesto Pearl F80 M3 that i just got rid of, I'm not sure i would want to spend the money getting it on the X5. At first glance it looks similar to Dravit grey that is available on other BMW's so in reality this individual color isn't all that individual for $5,500 and 3 month lead time vs 1 month for a standard build.

I agree Alan, Dravit grey on G05 would be interesting especially at $1080 SABI pricing and standard build time. Too bad Dravit was dropped for MY21 M340i's.

Now if new G30 colors options were available:

o Bernina Grey Amber Effect (new color) - looks close to Grigio Telesto Pearl but lighter
o Individual Aventurin Red Metallic - could be close to Ametrin but more red

Would really like to see them offer Bernina Grey on G05. Spec'd with extended shadowline trim and black 742M's.

I really like these pics. I think this looks amazing.
Is it just me? It looks like a pair of woman eyes with eyebrows painted in blue.

✅Another Grey
✅Another Black

Rejoice X5 shoppers

Good news though that more and more colours will be available. Still feel something brighter is needed but maybe there isn't the market.

Looks like BMW have been raiding the Wehrmacht Panzer paint option back catalogue....again

As said, already, two more variations of monochrome we could do without

There must be some seriously depressed people on all sorts of medication in the so-called BMW design studio to keep coming up with ever more depressing non-colour, colour options.

To clarify these "individual" colors offered are another paint option for people at a lower cost point. BMW will paint your car a color of your choice but needs to be approved first and it costs upwards of $7,000 usd.
I know because I use to work at a BMW dealer ordering cars.

Also the standard colors available are mostly monochrome because that appeals to the masses. The majority of people that buy the cars want a subtle color. Enthusiast's want a bunch of colors to pick from but usually are few and far between and dealers don't want to sit on cars very long.
