I got a call and mail from the dealer to ask me to stop charging the battery until they call me back.
Seems they are looking for a way to test/fix the problem.

looks like a new high voltage battery problem and tire issues according to https://www.kba-online.de/

My 45e is at the dealer for more than a week now (airco issues and parts in back order). Will call them today regarding this new STOP013222 recall.

My 45e was delivered to the dealer on Friday, just booked the delivery for this Thursday 1/10
No open recalls on it... Not sure when exactly it was produced. If anyone can tell me how to check that with my VIN?

I have just put in a newly registered X5 45e(taken from the BMW UK website) Vin number to our BMW AOS service site and this has open campaign No 10061430500 for "Replacing the standard charging cable (mode 2)".

I guess they are just waiting for new cables to arrive.

Did you check with the BMW uk recalls link (see above)? Mine was produced on Aug 13th and I received the recall message.

This is probably a UK only recall due to the 3-pin plug not fitting in some brands of outdoor socket. The immediate action on the recall is for the dealer to put a sticker on the cable. The cables were supposed to be replaced by the summer.

This recall shouldn't be enough to put a stop on delivery.

Or have anything to do with driving in sport mode ;-)

Same result for me.

I saw that on the 330e forum there are also reports about cars being stopped before delivery. They mention having code STOP020700. Issue with the battery. https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=26581831

Last Thursday I got a call to say my delivery last Friday of my X5 30d was cancelled as were all 530d and 330d so I suspect it's something to do with a battery issue on the 48V mild hybrid system although BMW haven't been able to confirm or deny. Car is there and it's waiting but I can't get it.

I picked up my 45E at the beginning of September in Dublin - my production date was 1st July.

There are now two recall codes for my vehicle, Enhancement codes 0061430500, STOP013222

I rang my dealership and was told that one was for a software update to fix the problem where the charging sometimes drops back to 6 Amps.

The other is to replace the charging cable that was supplied with the car.

My service department wont have the software update until the end of October.

Thats what I have been told anyway

I got a similar call like Jayo 15min ago, it's a software issue but no fix/update yet.
No charging of the battery until further notice, but you can continue driving using the ICE only.

This does not make sense to me at all. Why would you not be able/permitted to charge with a different cable (if that is the issue) or at 6 Amps if it's just a software issue? Anyway, knocking on wood, no call from the dealer for me (yet) so delivery of my 45e is still on for Thursday.

Received an update. It's battery related and they are still working on the issue - no ETA for releasing the car.

I still have my appointment for delivery on Wednesday, but then I guess I can expect a call from the dealer tomorrow to cancel my appointment. Bummer...
