Je, I aware of that. Member was inquiring if the headlights were on during the day in addition to DRLs in AUTO - not enabling or disabling DRLs.

Most G05s are delivered with front DRLs on and 11/2019.70 enabled rear DRLs but combined enable/disable with fronts.

Unless you code to have separate controls ... this definitely works on Canadian cars, but I don't yet recall seeing a confirmation that this coding does work on US cars.

My 2020 X7 came from the factory with 07/2019.59. It had both front and rear daytime running lights and had the single "Daytime Running Lights" check box in iDrive from day one of taking delivery.

I was not aware that the iDrive option to select daytime running lights off or on was not available on previous software/build versions.

Ive not been able to code this "rear lights with DRL" on my euro spec middle eastern G05!
Still not able to code turning off lights while moving either.

Also wish my welcome lights didn't trigger the actual headlights (at night) but rather the DRL's instead.
