I use a Foxwell scan tool for numerous things, monitoring the oil pressure is one of them. Probably better tools out there though - this one has been cheap ($150) and does every bit of maintenance functions that I want.
Have you noticed any difference in oil pressure? outside of acceptable ranges.

No.

The only time I see the oil pressure outside the limits is when the test is initiated and the RPM rises up to 1200 or so - at that point sometimes the oil pressure spikes to maybe 48-48.5 psi but then settles back in range but seems the test fails due to that initial spike.

Other times, it doesn’t spike that high and the test doesn’t fail. In all cases, it seems to operate exactly like my 2017 540i (B58) that now has 120k miles on it, which passes the test no matter what, but has iDrive 6.

Do you have to resort to using a obd scanner to see the oil pressure? You would think that a dash oil pressure gauge would be included in the x-drive software? Guess I’ll have to start researching Apple Car Play apps that can do this with a Bluetooth OBD scanner.

I should have my 50e this week.

Subscribed, mine going in for this next week, and weird non detecting of display key. Car always dies trying to start it with brake applied.

I got scanner. Oil pressure stays steady 38psi at idle. After drive home, I run test and stills stops at 20%, 48-49 psi and 108c temp. I let car cool down some and it finally completed test, 45-46psi and 84c temp.

Pretty frustrating since I'm out of warranty.
