Question about Loaner Discount
My GF is planning on getting a new vehicle this month, and maybe take advantage of some good deals. We've settled on leasing, and I think a loaner vehicle might be a really great opportunity to save some money.
I've seen some dealers here in the Atlanta area post their loaner/demo vehicles on their website, and they already have 20% discounts posted. I'm unfamiliar with loaner vehicles and discounting so my question is this: is it reasonable to ask for a larger discount? |

If it's already posted on their website at 20% off, that's literally the bare minimum you should get. I would not be shy about asking for more off and see what counter offer they come back with. Be sure to try multiple dealers to see the best you can get. What do you have to lose?

I’m also looking at an X5 courtesy vehicle, with 4800 miles. It’s a CPO.
Currently in negotiations and I’m at nearly 18% off MSRP. Trying to get to 20%, however. I’ll update on Monday when I’ve heard back after my latest offering to them. |

Any update? I am considering a similar situation. Listed at 11% off MSRP. What is a reasonable expectation for a great deal? Another 10%?

Agent007, the vehicle ended up selling before I could get there in person. Now looking at one where I’m at like 18.3% off MSRP. AND it’s Certified; bc it’s got 5,100 miles.
I’m serious about heading that way this weekend. It’s a three-hour drive, but the savings vs buying local are significant. |

Just had another loaner offered at 10% firm. At that price I might as well buy new. |

Recently was in discussions about one located in Austin. Not certified, sold as used service loaner with less than 5k miles.
Listed at 20% discount off original MSRP but that included all incentives which the dealer was showing on rebates on the quote. They were not motivated at all to move on pricing to the point the salesperson was picking and choosing which questions to answer via email. Seemed to make sense just to buy new. |

At that differential, I'm with you - I'll buy something on the lot for 6-7% off and 0 miles. |

Hello! late to the forum but my mom is also looking at getting one of these slightly used 2019-2020 X5's and we are both wondering if you ended up with one, how much off MSRP should my mom ask off? At least 20% or more? She wants to know and I'm helping her ask around! We are in the Chicago area by the way!

remember guys/gals % off MSRP is just part of the overall deal, especially if your leasing. make sure you look at the whole deal to make sure things such as money factor on leases or finance rate for finance as these can suck up a lot of the discount without you even knowing.
as far as getting loaners, if you can find one that is specd to your liking and after you loooking it over you are satisfied with the condition, then def go for it. You can get some great deals on those bad boys
