It is a Beta version that was released overnight.

I'm on the test flight version. Basically, a beta tester for BimmerCode.

Hi,

Just got my BMW G12 740Li July 2017 built and did some coding already with bimmercode by using OBDLink MX+, I would say it is very easy to code with bimmercode app. I tried to code the Assisted Driving View but couldn't find the four files mentioned in this forum earlier in Instrument Cluster, even tried expert mode but couldn't find them, any idea from experienced members? Please advise.

I need to reload the Bimmercode app on my phone. Will I have to pay again or will it remember my credentials?

Also, I bought the new OBDLink CX adapter and I can't get it to pair with my OnePlus phone. Can anyone help? I have submitted an inquiry to Bimmercode. Thanks.

Update: It does work but you have to change the settings in Bimmercode to the right adapter. I failed to do that. My error.

If you use the same App Store or Play Store userid/account to install Bimmercode (or any paid app) on a phone, you won't have to pay again. You may need to "Restore Purchases" once app is installed, however.

I can't get it to pair in my Vehicle so I'm trying to find out why. I do have an older OnePlus phone but it worked fine with my older adapter, VeePeak, but it isn't compatible with the new X5. The CX adapter shows up on my phone but it won't pair and I cannot connect with the App.
This is iOS (pic) and CX is certainly listed. I would find it exceedingly surprising for it to be missing on Android as CX is being marketed SPECIFICALLY for Bimmercode (first time ever). Are you sure your Bimmercode app is up to date? I'll start charging my Android phone to check more directly in a few hours.

What's your exact model of OnePlus? Maybe the really older ones don't support modern Bluetooth versions and perhaps CX is limited to modern BT — CX is spec'd explicitly as BT 5.1 which is in the "ultra modern" category, but I would be surprised by lack of backward compatibility. On the other hand, CX is a relatively new product as well and it seems the OEM is tweaking the firmware regularly still. This thread may give more ideas: https://www.scantool.net/forum/index...;topic=16554.0

Another thought: BT 4.0 onward (aka BLE) modes do not statically "pair" in the pre-BLE sense. Rather, the connections are typically made dynamically. It may well be that you only connect to the CX in the app using it, rather than "pair" in phone settings. Considering its stated BT 5.1 support, this is actually pretty likely.

What is you car software version now?

07/2020.80 then. That should be supported in latest release Bimmercode. Did you have the engine running or in Diagnostic Mode? I believe ASS is in DME and DME cannot be coded with a running engine and can only be coded in Diagnostic Mode.

IIRC, in the vehicle compatibility section, BimmerCode lists those adapters that allow full access to G-Series cars. Some adapters are only partially compatible with G-series cars. Have you checked to see if your adapter falls into this partial compatibility category?

Update on previous post: After a discussion with Bimmercode I was able to code the Auto Start Stop function with the CX adapter. Lessons I learned:
1. Make sure the Settings in Bimmercode are set to the adapter you are using.
2. Do not start the engine. Put the vehicle in Diagonostic Mode by pressing the start button rapidly 3 times with your foot OFF the brake.

I sent an apology to Bimmercode and OBD Link.

The CX adapter does work with the G05 vehicles as advertised.

Yeah, glad you updated the forum. It was a bit, uhm, frustrating to watch what did seem, on a balance of probabilities, like a series of user errors blamed on either product.

You should update your other postings with same issue update.

Anyone knows how to insert the ///M logo on the top center of the factory instrument cluster?

Hi all,

I'm quite new to coding, so far I have coded the following with Bimmercode (iOS) on my X5 M50d (03.2019):

- Comfort Plus Driving Mode (works quite well, I at least think I notice quite a difference with Adaptive M Suspension Professional)
- Additional Speed Adjustment up to 60kmh (was not activated even with SW update)
- Video in Motion

Does anyone know how to code the number of flashing when locking / unlocking with Bimmercode? I think the following codes might be the ones, but I can't find them in the Bimmercode app. It seems I can't access the FEM_BODY module.

FEM_BODY 3060
QUITTBLK_ENTSCHAERFEN_ANZAHL

FEM_BODY 3060
QUITTBLK_SICHERN_ANZAHL

Any advice would be highly appreciated!

That's an option to choose for your whole Instrument cluster display style when you're in Bimmercode (under Instrument cluster). I think I chose M-sport and I got the ///M logo. There's another thread with full pictures of this

In Bimmercode, go into Instrument cluster, then Expert mode.

Go to >> 3001 KI_Parameter >> LOGO_SCHRIFTZUG >> select M_Spt.

That's how I enabled it.

Thank you for the update
I could not code the ASS last position memory on my 2020 X5 40i today after upgrading to the new software version 11.2020.40

I will try it with the engine off in diagnostic mode tomorrow.

I would also recommend updating the adapter software via the OBDlink adapter application. But this is probably not so important.

Based on reported issues with OBDLink MX+ after firmware updates about a year ago, I would propose to skip updating adapter firmware ... PARTICULARLY if you're tech challenged. Because most software engineering groups either forgot about or never learned about engineering reliability, it's generally best to only ever update if you explicitly know of a good reason to do so, like a known fix to a known security issue or a known bug that actually affects you.

Hey guys,

I just got my 2020 x5 40i and I have the mod bug. I actually work at an auto body shop where we do lots of custom cars. We do all auto body and got into partners with a vinyl wrap shop. They do bmw coding and I will be going today to get my truck coded. Looking to do the exhaust flap, netflix/youtube video in motion, adding the M entrance screen and playing with the ambient light colors. Once im there I will see what else I can get done and I will come back with an update.

Can't wait! see you guys later
