Must admit I've not tried the Recorded path setup yet (too scared!)
To tell if your S22 has UWB, go to Settings, then Connections, and it'll list it under there for you to turn it on and off.

Just set up DK+ on my S22 - I can now open/close/start the car but there is no additional functionality re remote parking. Am I missing the point here? Do I need to have defined a manoeuvre so that the "Manoeuvring Assistant function" just repeats the manoeuvre in reverse? Is it really that simple?

Do you not see this button in your app?

My X6 is also LCI, it shouldn’t matter, as long as you have parking assistant package. You also don’t have to save any maneuvering, even without that it should give you simple options to back your car into/out of parking. Not sure why your app isn’t showing that.

Have you accepted all the privacy policies in the car? I know some of my functions were not available unless I accept to everything. Also make sure your phone is paired to the car Bluetooth and that your car unlocks as you’re approaching the car. I made a video last night, will post here later.

I have the Parking Package and I have accepted all of the functions. Not sure why the app isn't showing the functionality.

I just spent 20 minutes to try to see if it works for me on my pixel 6 pro (it definitely has UWB) but I couldn’t. I tried sharing the key from my iPhone (primary main key) and added that in the car. I could start and drive but remote parking wouldn’t show up. I thought that the phone needs to be the “main key” for this to work but I tried on my wife’s iPhone as a secondary key and it woks on her iPhone too. Not just that, my car also won’t unlock with my android phone as I walk up to it, I have open the wallet app and put the phone on the door handle.

Here's what the BMW UK configurator says for the Parking Assistant Pro:

Parking Assistant Pro is a camera and ultrasound-based assistance system consisting of Parking Assistant with additional functions:

- enables an automated parking manoeuvre to be started even after it was initiated manually by the driver. Kerbs and lines are also used to align the vehicle during the parking manoeuvre.

- display/visualisation of detected parking spaces as an overlay or as schematic display in the TopView image or on the smartphone.

- scale display to enable a better understanding of which real-world parking space the visualisation corresponds to.

The package also includes the Manoeuvring Assistant function, which can save up to 10 taught routes and drive them again independently, in doing so assuming control of acceleration, brake, steering and gear changes, making multi-step manoeuvres with high automation possible. In addition, the package includes the Reversing Assistant Professional with a travel distance of up to 200m.

- situations of Parking Assistant Pro and the Manoeuvring Assistant can be controlled from outside the vehicle via smartphone using remote control. This works seamlessly even if the driver switches between operation from within and outside of the vehicle.

I've included a grab of my build - it appears to have to required options...

It might be a android thing then. See if you beg/borrow/steal an iPhone (11 pro +) from someone and try it out. You’ll have to share the key from your wallet and set it up.

US user here. I can confirm that I have the parking assistance professional but on my Samsung Note phone the parking option is not there. Out of curiosity I installed the app on my iPad and lo and behold the option appeared. Clicking on it it popped a message saying that its only supported on iPhone 11 onwards with the latest OS installed. So it wont work on ipad also. I'm disappointed by lack of Android support.

Remote Parking isn't available on Android yet but is planned to be enabled in a future update (app and vehicle). Need UWB on your phone and option 5DW - Parking Assistant Professional of course.

I was washing my car the other day and needed to move the car (hose line wasn't long enough to reach some spots) and I just pulled it forward with the app - not a normal use case, but worked very well and made me happy. Its a neat party trick but I actually found some utility.

I can confirm this - just sat in the car with the Tech guy from my local Dealer and we set him up as a user on his Apple phone. He had the remote manoeuvring option on his phone, I still don't on mine. Guess we'll just have to suck it up and wait for the Android option/update (and hope no one parks too close to the driver's door )

Yes - there should be an option called “steer” with a steering wheel symbol, right above where the drive forward/reverse buttons are.

I also tested with this with obstacles and the car brakes for any detected obstacles like other vehicles/people. If the obstacles in the path don’t clear, the remote parking quits with a warning.

Really great stuff, something I use everyday to park/unpark my car from my garage.

Were you able to "click" that button? I saw a steeringwheer icon with a P and does not seems clickable.

Ok. So. I was wrong. I thought you could click on the symbol and steer but apparently it only means that the car will auto steer to align itself to the parking space (when the symbol is green). I just tried it.

I guess then there’s no way to manually steer the car but it does steer itself to correctly park.
