If you're able to run that setup and it proves to be reliable then that's awesome.
I thought about it, and we were sitting with factory engineers planning the design. I chose 6000 series aluminum for the wheels, that should maintain the pressure. My F10 which has same wheels just slightly less durable aluminum and has holes in the spokes, due to the weight difference 500kg I think it should be alright. If not, will see.

hopefully I won't need them at all with my setup. Just in case if I will need, I will be prepared.

Parts start coming in. First one is the tiniest one. Mirror covers.
I learnt that twopiece mirror covers are the best (front and rear).
One piece is a crap (@ least in my experience, I purchased it first, then returned, it was not nice thing).
Replacing 2 piece is a bit more complicated and I would shut off the battery but I took my risk here and just unplugged the cables: 360 camera, heat and obstacle sensor and it worked out. This time.

Ended up with these, just black gloss in my case.

While I was purchasing items for X5 conversion on Alibaba,

I found conversion liftup kit for F10 to M5 F90 Post LCI / CS including bumpers, fenders, hood, headlights, taillights, skirts, spoiler, grille, mirrors, digital cluster, steering wheel (I already have 12.3 inch display instead of original) and etc. very, very interesting. It doesn't look silly (as some kits do), the only difference in minor shape of the rear taillights which come with the kit as well.

I stopped investing into my F10

thinking it's time to sand it, repaint same color, buff it and storage but seems like I may come back to to this project after seeing the results.

Probably a bit later because I still work on my 1968 fastback conversion and now X5 but I know for sure I will go back to this subject no later than summer.

Rims just came in, brakes still on the way. Made a mistake ordering 315 rear (had to be at least 355) but will order later this month.

As any Y spoke it doesn't look good without large brakes which are coming (~3 weeks to wait), just wait a bit and will look rad.

also, lowering links came in, planning to install them on Saturday.

I think even the wheels are pretty wide (10 front, 11 rear), I have to use minor spacer in the front and half inch in the rear.

Here's my set up before I installed Hamann flares. You should use this as a reference to dial in your set up preference. Keep in mind tire width and aspect ratio will play an important role.

22x10 +20 (275/35-22)
22x11.5 +23 (315/30-22)

Fully lowered on OEM air (brings the wheels in a bit when fully lowered):

Comfort ride height (brings the wheels out a bit when not fully lowered):

I got very confused
Rear tires on your picture is 315 but you saying it's 11.5 in the rear.
I got 11 rear (which should be more narrow) with 315 tires but... it looks stretched stage 1-2,
not sure whyyyyyyy

That's interesting. Must be in the difference in the makeup of the sidewall. What aspect ratio? 30?

yes it is.
huh, scraped the rear left wheel because of that. now it bugs me, will re-order.

Are you absolutely positive that your rear was 11.5? It feels like it was 10.5 or even 10 because it is literally way more narrow tire for 11.5

I mean, I haven't physically measured it, but I ordered 11.5.

OP, what brand tires are you running? Not all tire manufacturers have the same side wall appearance. It’s hard to tell with your dark pictures but looking at the shape of the side walls are you running Michelins? The other guy is running Continentals. I’ve used both brand tires but if I had to choose, Michelins to me have a better looking side wall as long as the size/fitment is correct. I don’t mind a little stretch look but yours seems a little too much. You should consider the next size up width.

Gotcha. I guess that probably had to run brand tires as yours just didn't expect such drastic difference

If you could pin point what width + ET (like deep look) could be front+rear, I would truly appreciate it.

Found this image on YouTube, I also getting Y-Spokes (BBS FI-R style just without carving holes because the weight) and pretty much running after same stance just without hamann arches. Wheels will be custom made so any sizes/width/et are possible.
