Here’s my X5 M60i.
  • XPEL Stealth full wrap over Black Saphire Metallic
  • 22” BC Forged wheels (Pirelli Scorpion Winter 2 tires currently)
  • Front: 22x10.0” +17
  • Rear: 22x11.0” +12
  • Maxton Designs V1 kit for LCI X5
  • RG Sport lowering links
  • XPEL tint & blacked out side markers
  • Chameleon blue windshield tint
  • IND blacked out badges
  • JB Speed black roundels with stealth wrap + center caps
  • Owley’s seat kick mats for the kiddos

Still breaking it in, roughly 550 miles on the odometer. Took delivery on Christmas Eve and it’s been in the detail shop roughly 50% of the time since then.

I’m not great with photos and it’s a bit dirty - but a few had asked about the vehicle and I wanted to get something up for others to reference.

Happy to answer any questions or provide more specifics. I’ll be happy if this helps anyone else trying to make decisions.

Very interested in getting that body it. Will that be an easy diy?

A shop did mine while I had it in being worked on. It was a combination of double sided adhesive tape and screws. I don’t think it’d be too bad to do but I had them go ahead and take care of it while it was in.

Your X5 looks great! Love the maxton kit on this and the stealth / matte PPF. Probably the first LCI I’ve seen with a full kit. Nice job!

Btw… what are the specs on your BC Forged Wheels (width, offset)?

Incredible build all around, looks amazing.
Really like that Maxton body kit, it's my front runner right now (leaning towards V.2)
Love that you didn't go black on your wheels... Brushed Clear is stunning!

Curious if you have any negative camber on your wheels, especially the rears, because after looking at million photos of different offsets/widths, I would think yours would stick out more.

Great job man, awesome!

Thanks!

The plan was initially to run the factory 742 black wheels for the winter then put on the BC Forged with my summer rubber. Couldn’t wait though, so the 742s are hanging out for now.

The V2 is sharp, too. I went for the V1 because I wanted a little “less” or “understated” and I thought the “wingless” look on the ends of each piece was slightly “less.” Close call for me though, the V2 is definitely nice!

No camber that I intentionally added, at least. These photos are at my parked/loading height on the air suspension, which I’ve dropped a bit via r33_RGSport’s lowering links. That helps them tuck a bit more I think.

The rears are ever so slightly more aggressive than the fronts, they are barely tucked at loading height and I’d say exactly flush at sport height. And at comfort height I think a bit of poke.

I may actually drop it down another 0.5” or so at some point with the lowering links, maybe when I take the winter rubbers off and swap to the summers.

Edit: I should also say the team at BC Forged spent a good bit of time with me over email looking at photos and videos, and on the phone, to finally land the offsets. I told them I wanted to go a bit more aggressive than most people do. They of course had a great idea of a “standard” look that most use on the X5 platform, and pushed that just a hair further at my request. I think we were talking like millimeters of difference so probably not super noticeable unless you’re looking for it.

rundeyvoo asked for cost of the Maxton kit:

Quote:
Great looking X5! The wheels are awesome and the stealth PPF is awesome! How much did the maxton kit run you if you don’t mind me asking.
It’s horrible but I don’t remember. I think around $1,500 shipped incl tax, based on current MSRP and shipping I can see from the Maxton USA site. I bet a bit more because I had separate orders from all over and probably paid higher shipping a few times.

It was an interesting experience acquiring the kit, so I figured I’d respond here for anyone else considering it.

Maxton Designs manufacturers in Poland, and appears to distribute out in batches. Most parts seems to be made based on demand, so each batch appears to be “spoken for” the moment it is created. At least this seemed to be true for an early kit just released like this.

I’m in the US and sourced some pieces from the direct to consumer .com site, some from their European eBay store, and some from a third party: Royal Body Kits. Oh, I almost forgot, some from their Canadian store on I the Shop app.

I selected all of these based on availability dates. Prices, if I recall, were all pretty close to if not matching MSRP listed on the site.

Delivery times wound up not being hugely different based by purchasing source, with the exception of the rear lower splitter. This took the longest, I think because I had to wait for another batch to be created.

Doing it again, my advice to myself would be to shop around over eBay, Google, and their .com to see if any good prices or timelines came up. For any place advertising fast availability, I’d reach out and get confirmation in writing that it was actually available.

I think parts were mostly 4-6 weeks wait with the rear diffuser being around 8 weeks wait.

That kit really compliments the vehicle very well. Great choices, perfect looking ride height, and the rims look spot on.

Thanks both. Having a blast driving it the rare times I do

The satin PPF is really nice to wash, too. Things just wipe right off, and I don’t have to worry about swirls! Love that.

The height - I’ve thought about maybe going a tiny bit lower, but I looked today and think I might keep it where it is. Back and forth on this right now.

Here’s a fun pic of it covered in foam (lifted all the way up too so I could get in the arches).
