my X5 m50i thinks it's a CSL

So I used BimmerCode to change the cluster to M mode and comes up as 3.0 CSL…strange.

Same issue here on a M50. Ended up choosing the Alpina as I was not a fan of the CSL letters.

just easy change the logo go into expert mode , look for LOGO_SCHRIFTZUG
there you can choose what logo you want to have displayed on your instrument Cluster .

ProTool has this same issue. (I have both)

In the BimmerCode/ProTool app it SAYS you are selecting "M" logo, but you actually get that CSL logo.

My experience after spending quite a while trying to figure out what I was doing wrong /because that's usually the issue) is that it is actually an issue with the coding apps.

Best advice I have for you is to go into the app and select each logo option and see what it gives you.
