Hello BMW gang.
Today for the very first time I've recieved a notification that remote software update is available. It's downloaded already, still not transferred to the car. Has anyone installed already? All good? Quite exciting as it's my third X5 (F15 30d, G05 30d and now G05 40d) and for the first time I see this came up on my smartphone. |

This was my 7th OTA, along with 2 dealer installs (details in my signature). No issues with install or since. No new features, likely just bug fixes, at least for OS 7. Don't forget to check your settings, likely remote start will be unchecked after the update, which happens after every OTA. If you're interested, there is lots of discussion in this thread; OTA 11/2023. I think most of the earlier posts were from people with OS 8.5 in 2024 X5s while the later ones include people with OS 7, pre-LCI X5s.
