BimmerCOde keeps popping out Beta versions...since I don't have an LCI, I've not kept track of what is supported in the LCI, but last time I checked, that version was not on their supported list. Also, not all codable modules are locked, so some stuff would seem to be available still, just not the full list that works with older vehicles.
But, if yours can be coded, it's easy to enable 5-blinks as an option. |

Honestly, I was a BMW driver before I was driving a BMW. I used to be a pretty egregious blinker-ignorer.
The advent of lane keep assist, which I first got a few vehicles ago changed that for me. I use the three blink tap, all the time as it disengages lane keep assist. Otherwise you are fighting the steering wheel to make a smooth lane change. Add to that, with the automatic lane change assist in the X5, that is the sole way to activate it, so I have pretty much gotten to where I use it religiously. I figure it makes me a more courteous driver, so I am here for it.
