LCI Passenger Seat Memory Gone?

Does the LCI still have passenger seat memory? I’ve seen some pics that appear to show no ‘1-2’ buttons on the passenger door, is this something else that’s been quietly pulled from the specs

Also the car I saw would have vented seats and massage, again no buttons for these functions. Have the controls moved elsewhere on the LCI??

The buttons aren't on the pre lci passenger door, both seat memories are on the drivers door.

Are you sure? They were on both sides on my MY21.

And I can also see LCI has them on the passenger side as well.

Maybe it’s different on USA cars

I think it might depend on the model. My LCI M60i has passenger seat memory buttons. The massaging seat button is also on the passenger door next to the memory buttons.

For the seat ventilation, that gets turned on through the climate menu.

On UK cars, they were there on 2019 - 2021. 2022 onwards they disappeared from the passenger side and are on drivers side only. I've just been through Autotrader ads looking at various years to see when they disappeared.

My US 45e definitely has the passenger seat memory buttons on the passenger door.

Seems to vary country to counrty.

Although if your car is an MY22, thats what we would call a 2021 over here.

Pretty sure passenger memory is part of a seating package, at least in the US.

Also, my X5 was built 06/22, so not sure how it'd be considered a 2021.

Yeh, my 2019 has them on both sides. But the UK car I saw recently, which I would have thought does/should have passenger memory didn’t have any buttons on the passenger side.

Just hoping the memory isn’t gone, perhaps just accessed from the screen instead!

Must say BMW publish next to no detailed information about standard spec’s on their cars anymore. Long gone are the days of a detailed specification in a brochure, very frustrating!!

Hmm MY22 US spec 45e. No seat memory for front passenger. In 22, due to supply, quite a few features were not available, and which group also depend on build date. This omission maybe a victim of this

My 2024 50e has a separate button on the driver's door that allows the driver's seat controls to remotely move the passenger seat. When that button is engaged, the driver's side memory buttons also apply to the passenger seat. So to use seat memory, the passenger has to ask the driver to save their seat position and to recall it. (The passenger does, of course, still have seat controls of their own; only the memory function is dependent on the driver's side remote controls.)

Very useful info thanks! This button removal exercise BMW is on is really p-ing me off I must say

I wonder then, if the car has massage seats, whether the passenger gets a button to enable that or not.

Lots of penny pinching which is not being very well hidden from the customer IMO

No one gets a button for that, it is done through the touchscreen from what I have seen although have not verified that.

Only on drivers side on my UK 22 and my UK 23, assume will be same on LCI unless that's more buttons they have removed.

That's what we have in UK since MY22. you can also adjust passenger seat from drivers side.

Don’t know if it’s the same across all models, but my M60i has a button on each door to turn on the massage function. After you hit the button, a menu pops up on the touchscreen if you want to change the type of massage.

That is the way that it worked on the pre-LCI's. I saw a few folks, including the OP, post that there were no massage buttons but perhaps they were mistaken or there is a difference in models/options.

3 Setting Massage buttons are on both driver and passenger door in LCI. I would prefer them on the iDrive next to the ventilated and heating buttons. They are awkward being on the doors.

MY22 Canadian car, no memory buttons on the passenger side door.

On the driver's side door, I have a memory button for the passenger seat though.

Memory button on driver door for passenger side? Are you sure it is not the button that switches the driver seat controls to control the passenger seat (my salesperson called it “gentleman mode”).
