Was choosing between 2024 X5 and 2024 X7 but eventually went with X5.

Then last week, I went to my dealer for a follow up and noticed that they have 5 to 6 2024 X7 each with 1k to 5k miles on them selling below MSRP. Yet there is no 2024 X5 traded in.

I was like, great, I made the right call. But I can't help ask myself, what's up with so many X7 trade-ins?

Are you sure they are trade ins?? 1k-5k seems more of demo or fleet cars to me. Used car selling below msrp is normal, right?

Exactly what I was going to say. They could be corporate or press fleet vehicles. Could be from the BMW Championship.

If you search their inventory online, 2024 X7 returns 8 cars, 5 of which are pre-owned. I copied and pasted them below. Any clue what's going on?

All titled in Florida too - looks like they came from same place. I bet associated with BMW Championship (was in Chicago this year, PGA Tour based in FL)

If they are selling them as CPO vehicles that can be pretty slick if you love to put the miles on; I think the CPO warrantee is limited purely by original sale date with unlimited miles?

they could also be brake booster failure trade assists- wait time to get replacement parts was over 5 weeks at some points so lemon law territory. not sure if a trade assist would show up like a lemon law buyback would.
